Sunsynk Installation 8.0KW

Featured Replies

Hi all, I'm an apprentice electrician for a switchboard manufacturer. I used to work for Clean Energy during my school holidays, along with other similar jobs.

I'm installing an 8.0kW Sunsynk inverter, and I have one or two persistent problems that are bothering me...
1. The battery seems not to reach 100% SOC; the max I've seen so far is 99%. Is this a common thing, or am I missing a setting? I set up two Sunsynk 5.32kWh battery, one using CAN and the slave using RS485.
2. The CT seems unable to read. I have extended the cable by over 10 m, and I used a 1mm twin-twisted, flex-shielded pair, but I didn't get the result I wanted. So I bought CAT6A cable from my workplace, and when I installed it, I got a negative value(-22W), so I switched the wires because I knew I had the CT in the right position, and I got 0w... I had a 4 kW load, and I got nothing on that CT. So I changed the CT ratio on the inverter; no result. Any advice or troubleshooting tips?

Other settings

Untick Activate,

Tick BMS_Err_Stop,

Equipment Mode - Untick Master, Tick Slave,

Modbus = 0,

Ac Power Output Limit - Must be a value e.g., 1000w

CAT6 cable is nice and thick, should work fine.

I would ensure that I strip out only one unshielded twisted pair, and make sure the twists are all the way through (especially at the ends). Using an ungrounded shield could cause all sorts of issues due to capacitance, so get rid of it.
