I want to run my 2 x PC and printer off 3x300w Canadian Solar panels with pylontech 3000.

 

Will the Mecer Axpert_MKS_PLUS 3000VA / 2400W Plus 48V Hybrid Pure Sine Wave Inverter  be able to work out of the box with the pylontech. It appears from reading on the forum that any 48v inverter will work with pylontech but you need external battery monitoring etc - I really dont want more equipment.

 

The 3VA seems to come in the 24v and 48v variety and the prices are in the R6500 region. Im not keen on the 5kw R12000 plus inverters.

 

Any advice, suggestion or alternatives?

Any idea on the PCs power rating, and the monitors. The printer is it a desktop laser printer ?

All the equipment will be within the 2.5kw range, even with laser printers startup surge. I just want to make certain that this inverter is compatible with the pylontec at 48v without a need for an external controller. At R6500 it seems a good start to expanding a system at a later stage.

It will work, but you won't have much of an idea how much energy is left in the battery (apart from the 6 LEDs on the battery itself), and switching between utility and battery mode will not be very satisfactory. But if you just want to insulate yourself from possible (🤔) blackouts from Sunday in the future, that should be OK.

I screwed up, sorry 😳 . Elections are always held on a Saturday in Australia; some neuronal cross-firing there 🤓

I actually suspect it won't matter what the election result is; burning more diesel after the last vote is cast might be considered crazy. Sure, it's good for the economy to have the lights on, but they are already burning imported oil bought with borrowed money, and keeping some sort of reserve for true emergencies might be a good idea too.

It's always in the middle of the week over here, and by law it always has to happen within a certain time span so it is almost always in April or May.

If the ruling party gets a 60% or more vote, that would be considered (according to the analysts) as a good thing for president Ramaphosa. Then sentiment inside the party starts to change, as suddenly you have to kiss the right read-end to get into a cushy minister job (or into the cabinet if possible). Then hopefully Ramaphosa can do what he promised. I say hopefully, time will tell.

If they get less than 55%, which I am kinda rooting for but also fearing a little, that could be considered a sign that the people don't like Cyril, which would lead to re-arranging the deck chairs on the HMS-ANC.

Either way it will take some time before a plan (if any) can be put into action. But the pressure to keep the lights on will be off. So renewed load shedding would not surprise me, though probably only towards the end of May.
