Hi,

I want to add an additional Pylontech battery to my existing three connected to my Victron Quattro inverter.

What process do I following connecting and setting it up?

There are 2 things to take care of:

1) SoC balancing

Since the new batteries are being shipped with SoC around 70%, let your older batteries to discharge to roughly the same level.
Then, turn off everyting, connect the batteries together and start them as explained in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTM-YMFiyns
After couple of hours, batteries will be almost at the same SoC.
Then, turn off the batteries.

2) Data communication

Put the newest battery on the top of the stack.
Connect the Link1 port with Link0 port of the older battery.
Move CAN communication cable to the top (newest) battery.
Turn on the batteries and business as usual.

There's no need to play with DIP switches, leave everything in the default position. The exact SoC of each brick will be slightly different, but after a few charge/discharge cycles, the SoC of all the bricks will become the same. Do not play with the Apmhenol cables under a load.

@Youda, thx, this did the trick.

I realised i had 3 US2000 Plus's, and i bought an additional US2000B instead of the "Plus" and according to their documentation it is also compatible. Installed it using your method and it worked perfectly.

Just a note to anyone coming across this post. If you have different versions of the US2000 it is recommended that you install the US2000B as the Master and the US2000 Plus's as the slaves. It is not limited to this though, you can have it the other way around but then there are some settings you need to change.

NOTE: US2000B BMS will switch off at 20% SOC and US2000 Plus  at 10% SOC (these settings are configurable), but this is the reason they recommend the US2000B is the master.

Good Day

I have two pylontech us 3000 batteries I want to add another one to it, the system I use is a victron easy solar 5000 and 12 x 330  solar panels.

The existing batteries is about two years old and at 99%.

The DOD is set at 40%

How do I install the new battery and are there any other changes to make.

I have the same i.e. 3 batteries  and I think i can upgrade another 5 to give me the maximum of 8 in the group max?
I am slightly confused about the maximum current capacity as its states the cable connectors are rated max 120A but how many batteries max out at 120Amps? 
If you go over the 120A you have to allow an added cable [to make a pair 2 x 120A = 240A ] going to the inverter? Thanks
