September 20, 20223 yr Hi All, I'm putting a solution together and want to run the facts past someone that has blown and inverter before and knows what not to do. I'm planning to buy an Axpert King 5kW model, then connect it to 6x 550W panels. That is the most I can fit on my roof (where there are not trees). See image attached. Should I connect them 2S3P, or 3P2S? Any opinions about wiring the layout of the panels? See screenshots of the solar panels I want to use, as well as screenshot of the inverter (Axpert King 5kW) Drawing of panels on roof: Solar panel specs: Inverter Specs: Edited September 20, 20223 yr by Gerrit123 Added specs and images
September 20, 20223 yr Having installed enough of the inverters. I would suggest to stay away from the King model. These panels will work great with the High voltage PV models. The 6 panels can be a long string in the high voltage model. Also makes for a 1 in 1 out DC PV combiner box. You will save on cable & switch gear to buy the HV MODEL.

September 21, 20223 yr I would install the OGS5.6 or the OG 7.2 from Kodak. The other non Kodak branded versions are the MKS3, MKS4 & the MAX 7.2kW
September 21, 20223 yr Great, thanks for the response! I always thought the King is the better model, so I never really looked at the MKS models. I see the MKS models can take MPPT voltage much higher than the King inverter (solar voltage of MKS=450Vdc vs King=115Vdc). But the Lithium support on the King looks better than the MKS models.
September 21, 20223 yr The later MKS models as well as the MAX actually enjoy the same battery support & even have better lithium battery support.
