i have a high voltage mppt kodak inverter and want to know why when i change the settings to:

charge priority: Solar first

Output priority: Utility

 

my inverter give me max watts and amps and my Lithium battery charge via solar only is excellent

but when i change the output priority to :SBU the inverter stop charging the battery and only supply your output need

i do not understand

 

 

It sounds like an axpert type hybrid like mine. Not the 5G range. I have a thread in the inverter section where mine matches the load in SBU but works as advertised in SUB mode. The problem is that in SUB mode it counts the utility import same as pv when utility is much less like in this screenshot.

As well as perhaps not being enough PV power available, as @87 Dream mentioned, there may be a setting called Solar Balance, setting 31. Make sure it's enabled (SbE); not all models have this setting.

In Utility First output source priority (depending on the exact model), the load is provided by the utility, so all the available solar current is used to charge the battery. In SbU mode, solar power usually supplies the load first. In some models, you can specify whether it supplies the load first or charges the battery first.
