Angle/ tilt of panels at about 28Deg

Hi Ridiq

For Winter here in Centurion that should be OK, but for high summer you should be close to 0deg.

Dec on 0 works good (2deg actually). Sun is currently sitting around 10deg at the moment.

Keep in mind the waether this week is really crap, so no geed comparison there.

If we get proper sun, (today very unlikely) and you are on 10.2deg, you should be sorted.

In winter you will again pass your 28deg and turn around at 33deg.

I use monthly adjustments also here in Centurion, one cannot adjust daily.

Seasonan is also good.

Summer on 0deg

Fall on 22deg

Winter on 30deg

and Spring back on 22deg.

To the rest of you, keep in mind this is for my place in Centurion, so dont crucify me because yours is different in the fair old Cape :D

@Don Thought I could get away without buying a BMV, but seems I do need one.

Unfortunately not Ridiq. The inverter SOC is a calculated from your battery voltage and is totally inaccurate. It can be out anything from to 20-25%. @PaulF007 posted a comparison here between the inverter SOC and the BMV SOC. I will just post his graph below.

They only peaked at 1100W after cloud cover and after panels cooled down.

The peak power produced is normally calculated at 25C by the suppliers.  I would guess it is an outside factor creating the problem, such as dust etc. especially since it seems you have a similar effect on the solar geyser and the two is totally different ways  of producing heat / power
