Hello what is the best way of determing the best orientation of solar panels for an installation. My current setup usually starts around 6:30AM and stops around 4:30PM but i have seen other installations that start around the same time and end as late as 6pm. Is there something i am missing?

@PsyCLown I wanted to find out something before i buy. There are units currently being sold which dont have BMS communication with inverters. Any work around such?

@PsyCLownThanks for the write up. I also intend to purchase an S Volt battery though i am not in SA. My interest is in remote monitoring. Is the raspberry PI reporting reasonable SoC for the S Volt batteries?

Hello does anyone know how to enable email notifications in ICC. I have tried several times but i cant seem to get it right. The support from the distributor of ICC is not very helpful.

You have a valid point, i just thought that there would me more honest people here than searching on gumtree or something similar. Was also hoping to save a few bucks with a 2nd hand one but i guess its a bigger risk. Thanks for the heads up.

Wow! I never thought of that. Wouldnt want to inherit problems. Will seriously considering getting a new one but then again there might be someone genuinely trying to turn there equipment to cash but its hard to know how well it has been kept.

For my next project i may consider them but for this specific installation i am just increasing the size of the existing battery bank of Pylontech.

This is a 48v battery or 24v?

I just woke up this morning and noticed the inverter was in bypass because the Solar array wasnt charging the battery and upon closer inspection i realised there was no power coming from the Solar array. The array has always been working fine. I tested one or two panels and they individually have voltage. I have tried restarting the system but no solar being recongised by the inverter. I am a bit stuck and dont know what to do. I am using a Kodak 3kw off grid inverter, 6 x 330watts solar panels connected in series and a UP2500 battery. So the whole day today i have been on grid, no solar.

What is the last price u would be willing to get for the battery alone?

Its the battery where i am not getting all the information from. The inverter is very much okay and i am able to get the data from the inverter. I am not able to see how much is remaining to reach 20%, how long it will take to charge the battery to full, even individual cell temperatures e.t.c.
