Yes, i have now requested quotes for the T105RE's. However, i must say i am now more confused than ever before. I have spoken to all the big distributors here in Gauteng and with some military engineers and what have you and it's 50/50?? Some say the RE version is just a hype and has not proven itself yet (Not been around for 8 years yet) and others say they are the best??

That is correct Plonkster. Each panel has a "Optimizer" They had to make a lot of modifications as the power is "prepaid" The original SolarEdge inverter was a 5KW. That has now been replaced with a 10KW (5KW SolarEdge for sale if anyone interested) And yes, Tesla monitors the Battery 24/7 and send you reports on a daily basis. They also set it to only go down to 90% DOD Did a load test and had a 5KW load constantly - Lasted about an hour and 40min

How to configure your Victron BMV battery monitor
Hi All. Quick question? Who is using the BMV 702 Relays to switch stuff? I am having a problem with a delay in the relay (Or maybe it was designed like this) First thing i see is that is not possible for instance to switch relay "ON" at say 99% SOC and then "OFF" again at 100% (Settings only allow for 99%) So this means i can only start switching the relay "OFF/ON" at 98% SOC? (Tried setting both SOC at 99% Also did not work) I have tried this as i observed that if you set the relay to switch at say 99%, it will only switch at 98.9% (So SOC is below 99%) Anyone observed the same?

Setting up BMV700
Hi All, Can i ask a stupid question? I need to understand (In laymen terms) how the relay works on the BMV 702? There are two contacts right? Are they like a positive and Negative? Does it put out a voltage? How much? Which one does what? I am asking as i am trying to do two things here. Later i will use it for switching the geyser but for now i want to bring it into my home automation system. I have a wireless module (Fibaro) that has multiple inputs and would like to know if this will work? If i can use this to get SOC Relay info from the BMV702 i can start doing all kind of wonderfull things with my Home Automation system. The manual states the following: IN/OUT mode - 0-10V inputs, PWM outputs Fibaro RGBW Controller has 4 controllable, analog inputs I1 - I4, allowing for 0-10V analog signal interpretation. This functionality may be used in operation with analog sensors and potentiometers. What's more, in IN/OUT mode all inputs and outputs may be configured independently, e.g. I1 may be configured as 0-10V sensor input and I2-I4 may control LED strip or Halogen lamps. Another option is to configure I1 as 0-10V input and connect 0-10V potentiometer to it, and connecting Halogen lamps to R output. At the same time, other inputs may work with 0-10V sensors. Any advise and help will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

I Use Fibaro Home Automation with a combination of Z-Wave power plugs and strips (and mFi Mpower strips which is WiFi) . Measure power and can be automated in just about every imaginable way. I switch of all non essential equipment in a room when either there is no movement or the wattage drops below a set point! Works like a charm!

Hi Jaco, I have set my back to grid voltage in Watchpower config to the lowest (44V)? I will set my AC charge to 2 amps...Tnx for that. (Will need to set charge source to Solar first, correct?) This is why i would like to see how other users have their Axpert Settings set. And also the BMV 702 settings just to get a comparison...

Hi Viper, What do you guys recommend for Settings 13? I have mine set to full... So it should only switch back to battery when they are fully charged? But this brings me to the question on the AICC software settings using the BMV and SOC to switch to Battery/Grid mode... Are these settings being over ridden??

Good Day everyone. I am still not completely understanding some stuff here. (JDP hope you can assist here) Can you guys perhaps post your Axpert 5kva settings you use? But first my three issues: 1. In the picture below, my battery is feeding the house (Although a small amount) even though the Axpert is in Utility (Grid mode only)? Is this normal? 2. I also noticed this morning that the Axpert switched to Battery mode (Solar) even though my SOC has not reached 100% yet as defined in the AICC settings page? I noticed this happened the moment the MPPT received some voltage (PV Input Voltage: 56.2) Does this mean the Inverter is overriding the settings from AICC? 3. Then my last point I cant seem to get a grip on: Scenario: It is 12pm with perfect sun and more than enough PV power and inverter is in Solar mode and feeding the house and batteries is at 100% SOC. I switch on my Air-conditioner (Samsung Inverter and runs at around 850W) and the inverter instantly switches over to "Grid Mode" where it will stay in Grid Mode for anything from 5min to indefinite (Unless i force it back to Solar Mode) I understand there is a high start-up current for a second, but should the batteries not act as a buffer for that short time? The thing is, taken the same scenario as above but with the Utility switched of (No Eksdom power to Inverter) the inverter happily ramps up the PV output almost instantly and runs the Air-conditioner with no problem at all. Not even the battery SOC drops a single %...
