  1. @FixAMess This was was the cheapest battery 3 years ago and was mainly based on installer influence, gel batteries got fried and the insurance was only willing to pay for lithium if its the same price, the good old lie of all lithium batteries are the same which I now know is an absolute lie
  2. Thanks will take a look and see if they are the same likely same bms
  3. Hi Was wondering if anyone managed to connect Sako batteries with their Sunskync inverters with coms, currently I have no communication as the batteries did not come with a manual specifying the pin layout. Also has dip switches but does not seem to have the parallel ports as other batteries have to daisy string them together, available ports are CAN, RS485, and RS382. Upgraded from axpert that did not have coms at all
  4. https://powerforum-store.co.za/collections/batterys/products/r9-51-2v-220ah-11-2kwh I currently have this battery installed and would like to know why its charge current curve is as follows 0 - 90 = 100A 91 - 95 = 10A 95 - 96 = 5A 96 - 100 = 3A This makes a full charge near impossible since 96 - 100 takes 2 hours 45 minutes if conditions are perfect and there are no clouds. In the example here it takes 4 hours to complete its like this the same time as Gel/Lead acid in its absorption phase
  5. @Beat Yeah it is mostly load related since through the night from around 22:00 its only the fridge running on the inverter so 100w - 200w max, some point I'll replace the inverter with one compatible with the batteries communication protocol
  6. @Beat Thanks for your reply. Inverter: KODAK Solar Off-Grid Inverter VMIII 5KVA/5KW 80A MPPT 48V https://thepowerstore.co.za/products/kodak-solar-off-grid-inverter-vmiii-5kva-5kw-80a-mppt-48v?variant=31599177695294 The battery in question: LBSA 6kWh 48v 120Ah LiFePO4 Lithium Iron https://lithiumbatteriessa.co.za/collections/built-units I have been using the back to grid functionality of the inverter but since it is a 16 cell battery (base voltage of 51.2) the highest set able voltage (51) is still to low as this results in a discharge depth of 90% I would like to change back to grid at 80% depth of discharge.
  7. Has anyone used the generator start function of the Victron Cerbo GX to change back to utilities when the battery has reached a certain state of discharge? The reason is I have victron charge controllers but the inverter is an axpert, which cant communicate with my lithium battery due to COM protocol being used, with the so I can't control it from the Cerbo as far as I know, please do correct me I am wrong.
  8. They look to be operating as solarflow.co.za now. https://solarflow.co.za/index.php/product/6kwh-lithium-ion-batteries-with-10yrs-warranty-last-chance-holiday-stock-clearance-sale-50-off/ According to the company reg no that they are using on the site they are IKHUMUZI TRADING ENTERPRISE No registered accounts since 2013 http://www.companies-southafrica.com/ikhumuzi-trading-enterprise-hdk0/ Smells fishy
