It happens. Looks like you probably have to send it in...

Just my 2c DIY is great and cheaper when I started of cells were alot cheaper but not readily available my first batch i almost lost my R16K on Alibaba. Them tried Shenzhen Basen with provided me with 48 x Leshen 272amp. Also have 32 EVE280 which is running quite well no active balancer and my latest experiment 16 x 184amp svolt blades which seem pretty good aswell. ALL cell using a JBD bms's coupled with a SunSynk 8kw.

I have bit the bullet, and ordered 16 x LF304 cells with their bms. The diy box just seemed too pricey. I will go with something like this for storage https://www.geewiz.co.za/cabinet-wallbox/97506-12v-steel-battery-cabinet-with-wheels-4x-100ah-quad-batteries.html

Very good company from what I have see. But if you factor in R15-20k for shipping you still looking at R60k when a DIY 14kwh can be done for less than R40k

Aramex global shopper. Most aliexpress shops won't ship to China so you can use the Hong Kong address

While waiting for it to arrive I would just use the battery. Passive balancing might even be good enough.

4-5A Heltec is fine. If you have a seplos/apexium bms it's best to use AGM voltage settings to do you first balance with an active balancer then switch to lithium/ bms communication.
Set charge/absorbtion/float voltages the same. Set bms up so protection voltage is 3.65V and 3.65Vx16 for the pack.
First charge pack to 3.5V x16 you can start balancing when first cell hits 3.5V then gradually increase inverter charge voltage to 3.55 then 3.6V then finally 3.65V all x16 for pack charge voltage.
The bms will stop allowing a charge once the first cell hits 3.65V

Its overkill and I'm impatient. Money I was going to use on a charger decided to invest in the balancer. So I much easier.

The way I see it, adding the Victron MPPT to a Sunsynk "system" would require one to connect the MPPT to the batteries only. The load of the house would not benefit from the MPPT. ie. The MPPT would connect to the batteries only to charge them and not connect to the SunSynk inverter?

While we are on the topic, I do not understand the Victron MPPTs. Low voltage and high current. WHY?
Who want to run 1 to 4 panels and then parallel each string of such few panels? One would require pretty thick solar cable to handle the 70A / 100A current from your PV array or multiple combiner boxes to parallel the strings and then thick cable from the box to the inverter.

I personally feel they messed up a bit there, I prefer the higher voltage and lower current way which majority of inverters with built in MPPTs use.
    Am I maybe missing something?

Even with that delivery and service fee, that still works out to about R17k per 100AH, way cheaper than buying a ready built battery

Yes but just be careful that you do not try to push too many amps into your batteries. It does depend what Sunsynk size you use and what battery capacity.
