  4. Great install. I like the multiple inverters as it gives yiu redundancy, and for that reason I also like 5kw battery stacks. Top notch work. Many can criticize, few can do

  6. We only connect low revving gensets, 1200-1500rpm diesels to systems. Never seen a small generator working reliably. We would mostly install a changeover to run the house till the pv has sufficiently charged the batteries. Yes you do need a 20kva unit
  7. For the first time in many years I have a 16kw deye that keep on switching the ac input off, then restarting, runs a few Seco ds and switches off. This happens continually. Firstly the electrical is very badly done on The farm. Boer maak 'n plan. So the frequency and voltage is within range. 3 phase supply and we are only using a single phase. 50hz, and a high 240v. They have run a 3 core 25mm from the transformer but strangely a thick outside od neutral but only a 6mm core. Earthing tested ok but It does not seem to come from the transformer. I think when there is a proper load the N cannot supply. No voltage between N and earth. Like 2 v. Can the N be the culprit? Maybe take the 3 core and run single phase to the house? Any ideas?
  8. So if your relay fails? We do the bond from the N load of the inverter to earth.
  9. According to CFE the SOC problem has been sorted with the new software. We usually buy bulk but try and stay away. The price is very good at the volumes we buy but cannot go back to fix. We are currently moving more to the better units than the cheaper like Deye, volta pro [also a deye manufactured batt] and have hundreds of shotos in the market. Any reviews since the software update?

  11. Installed one for a customer and is a beaut for people who want a whole house on essential loads or where the inverter is too far from the db for a ct to be installed
  12. Installed 6 and really works fantastic!
  13. 50w is being recommended. For me its 1.2 units a day. Ave use only 50 units a month, so line rental is more than power usage.
  14. Only saw the post now! Gauteng and some in klerksdorp!
  15. Always been browsing here and never responded. Been doing solar on gates and energisers for many years. Few years ago I did a few small systems for the guard houses/ shops we build. A month ago I did my house as I could not sleep or work with the load shedding. So I installed a 8 kw Deye, 10 kw mono and 28.8 kwh solarmd batteries. Was immediately off grid completely. Then a month later we have installed 3 x 3 phase 12 kw, and another 3 8kw systems. So been very busy.
  16. only the 14,kwh for 30k. Gonna catch a few people with that one!!
