Hi all, Looking for pointers to inverter repair specialists in Cape Town area. Victron is (as far as I can research) not well known for there after services, and in my view IBC solar is just a non-responsive. I recently had 1 inverter replaced because of a blown up mother board, but then, when connecting that back to the other 2 (3 phase system) the comms ports did not work. When I send that back to IBC solar they responded with this as part of a response. "There is moisture ingress in several area of the products which has led to the product not being tested properly due to the possible damage that can happen". Trying to understand that is difficult, since they now write off two relatively expensive Mk2 5Kw Inverters without testing it. The inverters are still working, but you just cannot communicate with them through the LAN port. Somehow they could not dry the moisture in a controller environment and plug in a network cable to test? Makes no sense. This is a frustrating process. So I'm asking for pointers to anyone repair business that can actually connect this inverter and test it? Is IBC really the only suppliers and service company for Victron? Looking for usable MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-50 230V New ones are R11K, so price must be worth it for 2nd hand. Cape Town area only. We’ve had 2 geyser converted to geyserwise about 15 months ago. Sep 2022. works perfectly well. My geysers are heated by solar pv power in the day. The app is not mind blowing (Tuyu compatible) but it does its thing. I would have liked the 4x6hour blocks to be more flexible, but we’ve learned ro live with it. Use battery to heat at 6am if needed, because the sun will recharge from 8am onwards. however, if you don’t have good batteries, you would have like to pick the hours of the day, and not the quarters to heat. that is a fundamental flaw, but its a software decision. So, the developers can fix it if they wanted too.

I’m yet to find a positive review on Tesup anywhere in the world. If you search “youtube Never buy tesup”, you get a very detail list. it’s a shame, because in Western Cape we have good winds. i would love to know if anyone have tried this as well. We've received a Victron MultiPlus-II 48/3000/35 inverter donation at the SPCA where I'm volunteering. We would like to buy a good 2nd hand 5Kw battery to go with that. Installers are ready to do the work if we get the battery. Our budget is about R30K only at the moment for the battery. Please DM me.

Could you provide more updates and some info on generation numbers. Everywhere i look it seems difficult to get really good reviews from wind turbines. Generally there are lots of excitement initially, but then it gets quiet. I’m yet to find a decent customer review that proofs the 5Kwh wind turbines actually produced anything near 5Kwh at any point. So far, from what I read, Tesup is a no go. The youtube videos tells you how bad the quality is. Pegasus is still up in the air for me.

Probably a good idea to get Blue Nova guys to confirm, or even upgrade battery’s firmware to the latest. I recently combined a BN52V-77-4K with a BNV52V-230-12K and had to get their firmware on v4.1 (from 3.6) (makes me wonder about the "old software version (v5.13)" )
