A much better way of connecting Home Assistant to your DEYE/Sunsynk inverter
Thank you. What is the bottom right RS485 used for then?

A much better way of connecting Home Assistant to your DEYE/Sunsynk inverter
Hello All, I am also interested in reading modbus data directly from my Sunsynk 5kW inverter. On the 5kW there is BMS485 port (top left), as well a dedicated RS485 port (bottom right). Which on should be used to read data from my master and slave?

SunSynk 5kW, 8kW and 12kW latest firmware version
Hello, I have 2x 5kW Sunsynk inverters. The firmware that was installed was M 3.3.70 / S 1.5.1.5 /C E4.2.0. I requested an update and after the update, my firmware versions are M 3.3.7.4 / S 0.0.1.7 / C E4.2.4 on the master and M 3.3.7.4 / S 1.5.1.5 /C E4.2.4 on the slave. What bothers me is the Slave MCU software version that is now different. I spoke to the local Sunsynk guys and according to them the Slave MCU software does not get updated, yet mine was changed and nobody can explain. Does anyone else on this forum have a 5kW parallel system to compare firmware versions?

Sunsynk firmware issues - BMS?
I am at the moment on C E4.2.0, but since I have a new system, I did not have load shedding yet, but it is planned for 14:00 to 16:30 today. I will check if my system responds similarly.

Sunsynk issues
Hello Decsus. I have 2x 5kw Sunsynk inverters which was installed a few days ago. I had similar issues with getting the system mode sorted. I haven't checked all your settings, but the following is very important: Make sure the time slots are in chronological order, with time slot 1 the closet time to 00:00. So in your case, put 06:00 to 09:00 in time slot 1 and populate the rest in order. It does not make sense, but it does work. My first time slot was set from 23:00 to 05:00 to charge my batteries from the grid and it just refused. I then made my first time slot 01:00 to 05:00, kept everything else the same and it started working. I suspect it is a bug in the software.

Sunsynk firmware issues - BMS?
Hello, I am also considering upgrading my software, but might hold off if the version you have is buggy? What software is your machine running at the moment? The latest software should be: M3.3.7.4 and CE 4.2.4

Sunsynk parallel master slave configuration
Hello All, I need some advise with configuration settings. I have 2x Sunsynk 5kW inverters configured in a master-slave configuration, with 24x 410W solar panels and 3x 6.4kW BSL batteries connected in parallel. My question is regarding the battery charge and discharge current. If a single BSL battery has a recommended charge current of 50A and a max discharge current of 105A, is that the values I must set on each inverter or should I half or double the values because of the master-slave configuration? The BMS is only connected to the master inverter. Also, what value do I specify for the grid charge current? For instance, if I want a maximum of 2500W grid power to charge my battery, it should be 2500/48V which is about 52A, but do I need to account for 3x batteries or the fact that I have 2x inverters that can simultaneously charge the batteries? The manual is not very clear on this. All help will greatly be appreciated

PV array size per inverter
I manual recommends the PV strings to be balanced, but I am suspecting that the master and slave should also be balanced, meaning equal amount of PV’s per inverter to work properly

PV array size per inverter
That is what I did but the problem with the master slave inverter is that the load (I only have essential lods) is automatically split between the two inverters. This causes the one inverter to have enough PV’s to carry the load without drawing from the battery, where the other inverter with only 8 PV’s is supplementing from the batteries. What I have noticed is that the one with 16 panels is charging the batteries with the excess and the one with 8 is drawing from the batteries and effectively drawing and charging at the same time

PV array size per inverter
Hello, I have 2x Sunsynk 5kW inverter with a total of 24x 410W panels. I calculated that I can have a max of 8-10 panels per string and have 4 strings available for the entire system. The future planning is to have a total of 32 panels, with 8 panels per string. Should I for now split the 24 Panels in equal quantities of 6 per string, or can I split them in strings of 8 and 4 per inverter?
