  1. Hi Members, ive embarked on this project recently and i must say it hasn’t been easy. I started with 40mm piping and a few elbows and tried some super strong high resistance glue, the pipes keep snapping at the joins. I have JOJO, Borehole and municipal. Seems like the municipal water pressure is very high and when I turn on municipal the pipes snaps. I glued the pipes and waited 3 days and then still had issues once I connected it. im thinking about using these clamps at the join any ideas?
  2. Thank you, can you perhaps post some reporting? Would like to see what it gives you as far as trending goes
  3. I have a geyserwise tse1 unit. Will this work?
  4. Hi Forum members ia it possible to configure statistics eg daily usage / monthly usage on this device? Just for geyser usage thanks
  5. Problem has resurfaced unfortunately….going to have to start the process of elimination again.
  6. Thank you @jumper found the problem, seems as though there was an airlock in the system. I had a plumber come through and do the pressure test with Gas. That seemed to have resolved the issue. Weird. Thank you
  7. Hi All, I have my above ground pump that started running every minutes when no water is being used inside my house. My setup is 2 Jojo tanks, above ground .75kw pump below borehole pump .75kw pump. checked all water taps outside, no leaks checked all toilets and faucets for any leaks, no leaks. As a last test I turned off my pump and used JHB water and saw my meter moving without using water in the house, all I can deduce from this is I either have a leak on one of my pipes, clogged water filter and or glogged piping? Or float on the jojos? any ideas will help. My motor will surely burn out quite soon if not resolved. thanks
  8. Wow cleaning my Panels made a huge difference to my PV, by at least 2000w. I used just water. … pleasantly surprised!
  9. Just cleaned my panels this evening, will update tomorrow on results I had a thick layer of dust and haven’t cleaned installation (April 2023)
  10. Update - Finally my COJ account has been sorted, no electricity section on my bill and I am in a negative balance with COJ.😁 I also have started uploading my water bill (I have borehole with Jojo) online….no more estimated readings. 👏🏽👏🏽
  11. System installed in April usage stats and SOC settings
  12. Your solar PV is rocking !!! That’s a lot of production
  13. hey Bobster, the sort answer to all of this is No. didn’t declare anything when they came to install prepaid they didn’t ask about solar, I wasn’t at home at the time and the wife was here so they didn’t ask her any questions. Export - No no resellers tariff
  14. I have a prepaid meter. But apparently according to other threads you have both for a couple of months before they close it.
  15. Thank you all. so what’s the best way to fight this battle?
  16. Here is readings from the inverter I don’t unfortunately take pictures every month but I think this now will prompt that action. We can’t export to the grid in my area. Looks like I need to and visit them as they saying estimated readings.
  17. I use the sun during the day and use batteries at night….where are they getting these figures from? So before I go and invoke even more frustration at these buildings I need some advice
  18. Hi All, I am at a serious loss with COJ and JHB water, I have had my Solar installed in March 2023 and my borehole in May 2023. My bill has just come through and I have estimated readings for both Electricity and Water. I switched to prepaid in June. I have attached my bills and need some guidance before I lose my mind. Why are these bills so damn high? 9k July 5k June
  19. Please let us know what was the outcome here?
  20. Thank you for this. small steps for me so I’ve changed a bit of settings before outlaying again. To simplify things I’ve adjusted my geyserwise timers Afternoon - I’ve reset my timers on my geyserwise to use more sun hours. 11:30 - 14:00. Early morning 3am - I have no choice but to use battery. And I’ve noticed after charging without any interruptions like loadshedding and or cable theft i have 49% of the battery left. all of this information is super helpful so I thank you all for the info.
  21. Thanks Scorp007
  22. Does this make sense or no? Am I confused? Really don’t mind the advice
  23. Which home assistant should I get? Geyserwise - installed OCI inverter already intergrated in SA PI - bought and waiting for setup. “then check if Eskom is off and geyser soc < x then switch geyser off” - can this not be done with SA already?
  24. Thank you so much for this. I may be asking for way too much but I am still a newbie here. Do you possibly have a diagram to illustrate this with some steps? If it stop much I will certainly not take it personally you’ve done so much with the valid comments already.
  25. So the 14:00 timer is set to heat the geyser for my misses and kids evening shower, so I’m using a bit of the sun and then also grid. any suggestions on this would be great.
