  1. Perfecto. Ejecuta la aplicación y verás que en una caja de información te da las condiciones y las instrucciones claramente en inglés para solicitar la clave. Tengo una versión mucho más nueva. En cuanto pueda la subo. Te recomiendo usar 4800 baudios en la configuración de los SDM y 2 números de esclavos ModBus diferentes. Yo uso 1 para el de cargas y 2 para el de la Red. Deberás conocer los puertos RS232 asignados por windows tanto del conversor Rs485 a Rs232 como de la Interfaz VEdirect a USB. Lo otro que debes notar es que los cálculos seran absolutamente exactos siempre y cuando Todas las Cargas estén en la Salida de BACKUP del Inversor de potencia. Esto depende de tu instalación original. Si no lo has hecho observa los videos que subí a YouTube. Saludos cordiales.

Antes de cualquier otra cosa, te das cuenta que necesitas en forma previa 2 dispositivos Eastron SDM MODBUS, un Medidor de Baterias Victron BMV700 o 702 un cable VEDirect a USB para conectar el Victron a una PC y una Interfaz de conversión RS485 a RS232 a donde se conectan los Medidores de corriente SDM ? Ya tienes todo ese hardware ?

  5. Good point We go through parts like Jack the Ripper said I tell you my experiences about it for 3 years and with this, my 3rd power inverter. It has not been my intention to invent the wheel or discuss with the Goodwe Engineers or any other about the safest or most convenient way to connect a Power Inverter. I use a solution "On the border line" since I know what I am doing and also of the possible potential inconvenience, and work for me. After a very detailed study of the simultaneous consumption in my house I decided this type of connection because the worst thing that could happen was an overload and shutdown of the Power Inverter, which translates into a few minutes without electricity, until the situation of that exceptional consumption is normalized. The experience in all this time has been 4 (four) overload events, 3 (three) with my previous nominal 5.5 KVA inverter and 1 (one) with this in 3 years. Every power inverter is prepared to handle error situations due to overload and shutdown as long as these are not frequent, since the damage can be irreversible. In all the events there was simultaneity of high consumption higher than what the power inverters could handle Instantaneously. If your base consumption is between 600 to 1000 watts, an electric iron, a microwave, a 2000 watt vacuum will cause a shutdown fail ! Of course. The solutions that worked for me are: 1) Family Education. It may be awkward at first, but it's simple. There are not too many VERY high consumption devices in a home. The trick is simply to tell the family to find out if there are several of these on at once.   7. That is what the installation manual recommends, but the solution that works for me is another. I consider it essential to have ALL the loads connected on the BACK UP side of the Power Inverter, by simple ECONOMY, because I have not yet approved my system to Inject the surplus PV produced to the GRID. The PV Power produced in excess, without consuming, is lost. For my current daily consumption of approximately 27-32 kWh / day a summer day (about 24 KWH / winter day), instant base consumption 600 to 900 watts of vital elements. In summer I can have 2 of the 3 air conditioners at home On without problems, during the hours of greatest solar irradiation, taking very little energy from the GRID. Since Goodwe has a good reserve of excess power for instant starting, I have not had shutdown problems due to overload. However, as in the case of GRID POWER CUT if there would be problems since it would be too much charge for the batteries, I found the solution by making 2 separate Power Lines. A High Consumption for Microwave, washing machine, dryer, Air Conditioner, Laser printer, etc. and another for all Vital Requirements but always DOWN of the BACK UP OUTPUT. With a Contactor that allows the CUT of the High consumption line when the external power of the public GRID is cut, leaving the battery power just to keep all the rest of the house's vital circuits. Because I use lead acid batteries, with another contactor I avoid a discharge too deep and harmful to the Batteries.   9. @Bobster Firmware version 13134 for my GW5048 resolved both the SOC problems and the ones you indicate about data transmission outages to the SEMS PORTAL. I have not had connection problems or data transmission since I updated the Firmware. Regards !
  10. Ok Jaco. You have read my post about the Energy measurements of the Grid Side and the Load side. An Eastron SDM 230 Meter is cheap and quite accurate. From the Tests I did, and as Plonkster said, you can read the changes between exported, 0, or imported energy using MODBUS in about 500 ms. with a very low CRC error count. You do all the calculations you need and you can, if you need it, add and handle a solid state RELAY board with ARDUINO and make decisions according to the logic you program, adding about 200ms to 500 ms more by interacting with a connection RELAY by cable (not wirelessly). Total, approximately in 1 (one) second..

  16. Hi @PJJ Good observation. but you are only seeing a part of things. It is not the idea that this is the final application. It's just a test and a part of something bigger. You must consider that 1) I use a Control that for each MODBUS RTU task, opens a processor thread independent of the one on which the application you are watching runs. In other words, in the video you are seeing 3 processor threads running in parallel, that of the client application itself and that of each Eastron SDM. 2) What I cannot open in a different thread is the reading of the character buffer sent by the VE DIRECT interface via RS232, which at approximately 19,000 baud is true that does not leave too much power for other processes when handling them within the same thread. 3) However, point 2) I solve when application that is, only the reading of data and recording of Records in Databases, leave it as Resident application, invisible to the user and integrate it with a 2nd) Application that is what the client sees, being similar to the SOLAR POWER software that has a Resident application and an Application for the End User that is the one seen on the Desktop. If you look at the concept of my 1st development: PHORAM in the Internet of Things forum you will see what I mean. Phoram are actually 2 executables: 1. PhoramTray and 2. PhoramApp. While there are more complex techniques for sharing data between different threads of a processor and different applications from each other, to the resident application I leave the task of communicating with the device and record the readings physically on disk at regular intervals. Hi @Jaco de Jongh I was doing some tests based on your question and I confirmed that at 9600 baud I cannot decrease to less than 100ms. without the CRC errors being more than 20% and about 70 ms they are practically 90% errors. I guess the cable influences. I do not use a specific cable for RS485. I use one of UTP Cat5e Network. Also detect that at higher speeds the Eastron SDM 220 slave gives me more CRC errors than the SDM230. Currently at 1000 ms with 4800 baud the CRC errors are absolutely nonexistent, at least for 15 consecutive days. While I could adjust to 9600 baud and 500 ms with very few discarded data, I must continue with 1,000 ms. because I must try as synchronously as possible with the Readings that I take from the BMV702 over RS232 because the "Text mode" of this device refreshes the data every 1000 ms and this cannot be modified. Since the final objective is to record every 10 seconds an average of the Grid Power, Loads Power, Batteries Power and the Effective Solar Power that I calculate based on the previous actual readings, samples every 1 (UN) second are sufficient. The interesting thing is that I can calculate with great precision the Internal Real Consumption of any inverter and aprox the Conversion Efficiency of AC to DC batteries and DC to AC. Regards !

  19. Since I have received inquiries about the Phoram Project, I tell you that it has not been abandoned. Unfortunately I had to change Power Inverter. In 2 (two) years they burned spontaneously Four DC Board !!! : Yes 4 (four). I endured with more than normal just because the development of PHORAM took me a long time and I didn't want to stop using it. The people of MPP Solar have with this Power Inverter Model: 5.5 Kw MPI Hybrid, a very serious problem that they cannot solve and I got tired. I finally bought a Goodwe ES5048 and the difference in quality is remarkable. Since the Goodwe SEMS PORTAL Application does not convince me, not only because of the limited interface but especially because the data update takes many minutes and also because I was not willing to leave PHORAM, since I designed it not only for the possibility of serious monitoring in real and historical time but for the possibility of linking an external relay board so that the system will make decisions and interact with the real world based on a logic of events determined by the user, so I decided to investigate to transform Phoram into a Universal Software independent of the Brand and Model of the Power Inverter used. I had the solution in front of me and I am currently transforming the original project into a new product called: Phoram (U) niversal. The Hardware necessary to use it in a mandatory manner is: - 2 (two) Eastron SDM120, SDM220 or SDM230 Meters (One for the power parameters of the Grid side and one for the Charges or Back Up side). They are very cheap and of acceptable quality. -1 (One) RS485 to RS232 Converter -1 (One) BMV 600 or 700 Series with VE Direct to USB interface cable. Optionally: -1 (one) 8 Relays FTDI 245R based Relay board or IcStation 8 Relay Module board By simple algebra I get the EFFECTIVE SOLAR POWER produced at a given time. Regarding the Original project in which he decoded the parameters sent by the Power Inverter, unfortunately I lose the data of: -Inner temperature of the power inverter -Voltage and Amperage of PV1 and PV2 But in exchange for this I have real-time parameters with refresh every second and Phoram is now Universal!   22. HI @stefan No, it is not possible. My development does not include connection with Arduino. To the objectives of the software it seemed much simpler to access a Relay Generic board that is easier for the use of a possible User of knowledge of the Middle Level. The softaware is connected to this through a Serial Port via USB and although it offers the possibility of an external power supply, my tests tell me that you do not need it. Only with the 5 Volts of the Micro USB handles all the Relays well as long as they do not change their status all together simultaneously.   23. Hi @Javi Martínez The commands that you indicate, along with the QEH, are indeed the only ones, at least documented, that require CRC. As I made my own totalizers for PHORAM from sampling every 2 seconds of the values delivered directly by the QPIGS command I did not test with CRC. When I finished the code, I compared the results by looking directly at the LCD of the Power Inverter, I saw that they were correct and I did not investigate those historical ones. For example: QEY <YYYYnnn> <cr>: Inquiry total energy in the year the 3 digits "nnn" arise from the application of an algorithm for, I believe: CRC 16 that uses YYYY as data. If you ask me about the algorithm, I repeat that I did not implement it because I made my own calculations. I've seen it at an Australian Solar Energy Forum. I'm sure that @Coulomb could help you with the algorithm code. regards.
