CT, Zero Export, Solar Sell
Thanks!!! This forum is great! A real brotherhood where we learn tons like you can end up actually charging yourself for the electricity you spent 100s of 000s to produce ๐๐คฆโโ๏ธ๐ญ Thanks to both of you @GreenFields @Kalahari Cruiserfor your helpful reply. I now have that little bit more insight into all this. ๐๐๐ผ

CT, Zero Export, Solar Sell
Hi all, My qn is: 1. Can you backfeed to your grid meter by ticking "Solar sell" (on a Deye) and does this reflect as consumption by your meter (ie you will be charged by eskom for your own production!?! ๐ญ). If I choose this option my inverter home screen shows power being sent back to grid (eg - 2.5kw) and the eskom meter shows a consumption (that matches the power sent back to grid) even if I put down every circuit breaker on the DB and there's zero demand from the house. 2. Should the grid icon ever display a negative value (ie on the inverter home screen)? 3. Please explain what these two settings mean: "Zero export to load" "Zero export to CT" Is load your non essential load? So ticking this means you don't send anything to non essentials load? How does ticking "Zero export to CT" translate to send to non essentials too? Is CT essentially the grid, but why did mine send to grid even though I chose zero export to ct? Was it the "Solar Sell" that caused issues? Any help and advise will be gratefully appreciated

Understanding Sunsynk Aux Load Output
Hi guys, Just wondering re the aux load: i understand that this will work during loadshedding if the pv and SOC parameters are met. Does this however impact the kw's your inverter can push out eg if I have a 10kw setup (2 x 5kw inverters) and connect a geyser to the aux port, will the additional 2 or 3kw add to existing load and possibly trip the inverter?

Sunsynk inverter constantly discharges Hubble battery lower than setting
Just to clarify: - in the 1am to 5am slot, you will use your battery until 65%. Once it goes under 65% the grid kicks in and keeps it at 65%. Unless there's loadshedding in which case it keeps on going down till shutdown. - in the 09h00 to 13h00 slot: similarly you will use your battery until 60%, and if it goes under 60% the panels will kick in (you don't have grid ticked). But if panels are meant to keep the SOC at 100% anyways, why is it necessary to specify 60% (seeing that the panels will charge it irrespective to 100%)? Or am I misunderstanding the entire concept? Thanks!

Thanks. Luckily this supplier has agreed to take the panels back ๐. Sad to know that there's not much legal protection besides the goodwill of the supplier.

Fake solar panels?
Yes a lot of q cells panels are fake too. What do we do if we find out that we have received fake panels from suppliers (after money has been paid over)? Are we protected by the CPA?

What recourse do we the consumers have if you have been sold fake solar panels? I have been scammed : supplier sold counterfeit q-cells panel

New to solar and looking for recommendations.
To take this further in terms of panels: - is there a calculation on what the maximum amount of panels an inverter can take (eg a 5kw inverter). What's VOC and what precautions should you take not to damage the inverter Also: - what happens if accidently the peak demand goes over the maximum rated wattage on the inverter? Will this damage the inverter or will inverter just pause function and load moves over to the grid? (hopefully this qn makes sense)
