  1. And please remember its not a spike the consumption remain constant for hours until we do hard change over on the DB .
  2. Greetings Experts, I have picked up an observation from two different inverter systems. We noticed when the inverter switch over to utility grid either based on soc or time base the system double consumption unless one mark a hard change over switch and turn off input power to the inverter before the power normalise. We now perform and experiment using a meter logger attached to main utility input to measure load consumption as a control experiment. Here are the steps below with snap shot Here is my dashboard with Grid Watts .. currently running on battery and solar mode meaning zero power draw from utility . You see Grid voltage and frequency but zero Grid watt as depicted in the application. Currently metter logger reading from utility input meaning am not consuming power and my non-essentials appliances are off. Now we are going to force my inverter change over to grid and quick reminder that I don’t charge my battery with utility as per my settings below. Drop my power input to utility as you can see and grid watt is about 529W equivalent to a load of about 575W approx .. Current reading from utility input double whats reporting on ICC application My geyser is not using utility at the moment when the soft switch over was initiated just for the record. Now doing hard change over on my DB back to Utility input Now am going to check logger again to see any changes in power draw which now reflect whats it consuming . Its unfortunately i cant upload more evidence picture. I am in need of a logical explanation of whats actually happening as we have tested it in two different site with Growatt and Axpert inverters and they both produce same result If anyone have experience this type of scenario before do share or advise on what can be done to remediate it. Much appreciated in Advance. Newbie
  3. @Xman. May you kindly share the schematic diagram for the cables please if you don't mind. I am planning to build one for my unit as well .. Many thanks
  4. HI , I think you need a Raspberry PI with wifi dongle.
  5. Hello Everyone, I have been running ICC app on window OS for 3-4 yrs and my system dont get update patch for the past 7-9 months now , I did send a mail to Manie couples of days ago and I have since not get a reply back from him. I will like to know if any of the member who are using windows version of the app still getting update support in terms of patches or improvement. Regards, Newbie.
  6. @sidewinder much thanks for your response.
  7. Hi All, I have just opt to upgrade my normal batteries bank to pylontech US3000 x 2 with Axpert 5Kva x 2 (Parallel connection with master/slave setting) I currently facing two show stoppers with my settings # How do I connect my two inverters (Experts ) to the batteries bank without altering the factory cables on the pylontech ( Appreciate diagram) . # I have lost comms with my ICC monitoring software (currently misbehaving) . Your assistance will be highly appreciated. Regards, Newbie

  9. What surprised me the most is that Eskom which seems to be the brain behind the proposal, have rolls of solar panels in their parking lots at Megawatt park office. Hence I say is this animal farm kind of systems we've to push gradually towards by our so-called politicians ?. Or the rest of the taxpaying citizens are not entitled to generate a microgrid at their backyard. Instead, we should be donating to the useless and corrupt systems. We need to do whatever it takes for this forum to stop NERSA in their tracks. All other developing countries are paying microgrid producers for supporting green energy, the opposite is about to happen here in South Africa.
  10. Hi All, I have a situation whereby every time I want to load credit into my Eskom (utility meter ). The Meter doesn't communicate with the remote end until I completely cut off/ turn off my inverter before the meter is able to communicate with the remote device. Am currently running grid tie setup. I will appreciate if anyone has experienced it before with possible solution instead of my work around/ temp solution. Many Thanks in Advance, Newbie
  11.    Chris Hobson reacted to a post in a topic: How to force Axpert out of bypass mode
  12. Hi Chris, Much appreciate your details explanation. especially to new comers like me with less experience on this type of topic. I shall adopt your recommendation and action it asap. Many Thanks, Ola.
  13. Hi Chris, Sorry for late response, please do find my response in green Program 1 = SOL In this mode the inverter will use solar and battery if solar is available and switch to grid at night. Bearing in mind that grid kWh are cheaper than kWh stored in the battery so you probably want to be on grid at night. I shall reset my timer to grid mode from 19:00 PM since you've enlighting me about the point made above. Setting Program 12 to 46V is low . 46V is roughly equivalent to a state of charge (SOC) of 20% - you are working you batteries hard. This not an absolute as you may find that if you have a small bank a large load something like a kettle will draw your batteries down to 46V and as soon as the load is removed the battery voltage recovers. If your battery bank is larger (400 Ah+) then you are busy murdering your batteries and you actually want to go to grid. What is the save volt I can set program 12 ? Am currently running on 4x 12v 250ah AGM (BSB) battery bank. I suspect what is happening is that you are discharging your batteries till they nearly flat. The inverter switches to grid but Program 11 is set too low or Program 16 does not allow grid charging and so it takes a long time to switch back to solar appearing to be "stuck" in grid mode. Program 13 is way too low and your batteries are not getting the chance to get a restorative charge. What is Program 11 and Program 16? Program 11 = 30A (default) , Program 16 = 050( only solar) How many panels and what size are they?
  14. Hi Chris, Program 1 = SOL, 12= 46 , 13 was on 54.0v when it got stuck on btpass having red the forum thread I followed gertc solution and I set 13= 48. Now it stays on SOL/Battery mode without tripping by to Util I hope have done the right thing lol .. Thanks for swift response Chris
  15. Hi Everyone, Am also having the exact problem stated above by gertc .. I have just installed ICC application and it locked up to bypass mode .
