  1. Thanks
I performed the firmware update, I am attaching two images.. thank you very much

Thanks for that. It supposedly fixes the stuck at 90 V problem.
[ Edit: That was my interpretation of the "MPPT freeze issue" mentioned in the notes. I now suspect that they fixed something other than the "stuck at 90 V" problem. ]
[ Edit 2: Now I think that it was one of the first firmwares to actually fix the "stuck at 90 V" problem. ]
[ Edit 3 Jan 2025: I now realise that there are several variants of what I have been thinking of as the "presumed good" MPPT logic. The plot thickens. ]
It has the same MPPT control logic as 90.06, except it has the added PV voltage control constant that varies with actual PV current that we've seen in some other recent firmwares.
Edit: The above link no longer works.
This is factory firmware version 46.71 for the Axpert Max E 8 kW '2809 non-Twin. Do not use with any other model. This firmware has the "presumed good" MPPT logic, meaning that it basically solves the "stuck at 90V" issue. Patched firmware may perform slightly better in some circumstances. Use at your own risk. The hex file is dated 2023-Feb-08.

There is now an original 46.71 on the MPP Solar website:

In this case, no, it's not reversible, because no 46.xx firmware update file has been found. [ Edit: Not true! See next post. ] My patched firmwares always include the original firmware file so the user can easily go back to the unpatched factory firmware. But in this case, it was determined that 90.06 firmware is compatible with 46.08 firmware, and the patch was based on 90.06 firmware. So the best you could do, should you want to go back to factory firmware, would be to go to factory firmware version 90.06. We just don't know what's in 46.08. It might be better or worse than 90.06, or it might be better in some areas of operation and worse in others.
If it's publicly available, it usually turns up somewhere on this forum. Otherwise, you have to ask for it from your supplier, and they will only get an update from Voltronic if you have a genuine need. Wanting to have the latest firmware doesn't seem to qualify as a good enough reason, sadly.

    Hi

you are loosing power, not much, because your cloudy mppt voltage is near to 200V.

    An example :               200V and 0,5A = 100W
                                        190V and 0,6A = 114W      <<<< Best point
                                        180V and 0,6A = 108W
                                        170V and 0,6A  = 102W

The firmware is always searching for the best point, but here it wants to go a little bit under 200v but it cant .

made a 175V version , everything else is the same

can anybody confirm who uses any patched version the little 90 V step will become a 102v step when grid is available??
It seems the startup voltage from internal supply differs if grid is available or not .

User BGD has an inverter that came with main firmware version 46.08, and they were able to successfully use the firmwares based on 90.06:
So you should be able to use these, or the shade management ones that are also based on 90.06.

What is your present main (U1) firmware version? There are two types of 8 kW MAX (E and II), and two different DSP chips with different firmware.

Speak to @Coulomb about this, as he is the  man for Voltronic Axpert machines.👍

I was firmware 46.0x in my Easun SMW 8 kW which I bought in february 2022. I flashed in autumn from initial firmware to firmware from this thread based on 90.06 (150V version). Now i use shadow management beta firmware from Georg594.
