Apologies. I have not logged in here for a while. Yes, the Solar Assistant works with the VMIII. Set it as PYL in setting 05. And connect the BL3.6 to the Pi using a USB RS-232 cable. You can order it from Solar Assistant. Order the cable for the Revov R100. They use the same cable.

Thx, going to give this a try.

Morning I figured out that the Greenrich is the same as the Kodak. I will need to find out what the pinouts are for the RS232 and RS485 ports so I connect my Solar-Assistant Pi directly to the battery to read the BMS info.

is the BSL the same as the Kodak BL battery. They look exactly the same? Or even the Greenrich battery?

What did you do in the end to get it working?

I agree. 4S will get close to 200V (Depending on what panels are used of course)

I have the same question, but related to small 5kw to 10Kw residential systems that is Grid tied. Specifically in the Gauteng area.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I have 72 cell panels. I will connect all 4 panels in series and see what the outcome is.

Hi I just bought this inverter. I see that the DC PV operating voltage is 120VDC. What is the minimum number of panels required to get the solar side working? I currently have 4 x 330watt panels. Reference: MUS-SOL-I-AX-5NB Condition: New product Rated Power 5000VA / 5000W Maximum PV Array Power 4500W MPPT Range @ Operating Voltage 120VDC~430VDC Maximum PV Array Open Circuit Voltage 450VDC Maximum Solar Charge Current 80A Maximum AC Charge Current 80A Maximum Charge Current 80A

Hi I want to start building a system using these Micro inverters. What is the minimum to start with? Note that LTE access on the farm is non existent. So I would have to get a monitoring unit that can send data via the cellular network. I have 3 phase power. Can I install the first unit on the first phase and then add to the other two later on?
