Oh yes - there was a V2.9 firmware for US2KBPL released, that had "V2.8" written inside. I bet that you flashed this version.
There should be a file named US2000BPLS_V2.9_Crc.bin somewhere in the Pylontech Firmware Bundle and this should report as V2.9 correctly. Both files are dated as 21-04-29. On the other hand, there's absolutely no difference in functionality between the two files. It's just that version number and CRC.

BTW: The most recent FW for US2KBPL that I have is us2000B_Plus_V3.4_Crc.bin dated 21-08-07. So maybe you want to flash this one directly.

I guys. I would like to share my schematics and source code for a small project that allows to control/monitor and intergate Pylontech batteries with home automation via WiFi.

This is the reverse kind-of thing. I have an arduino with a canbus shield talking to a Venus-GX (in this application it is pretending to be a battery, it makes it possible to test code with all sorts of rubbish in the can frames). But you could easily reverse it and have it talk to a battery using the CAN-bus.

irekz reacted to Youda in Sofar me3000sp and more than 4 pylon batteries.
    Just for the info:
CAN implementation in Pylons automatically broadcasts the summary data for the whole battery group. Therefore it's very easy for the inverter to work with the values. CAN will work okay up to 8xUS2000. Even when you add another pile of 8 batteries and combine all 16 using Pylon LV HUB, CAN will send the total values to the inverter.
RS485 protocol in Pylons is much more complex. It offers tons of details, down to an individual cell level. Therefore, the inverter itself has to implement the summarisation logic, brick and cell addressing etc. Looks like Sofar did not implement this logic completely now, but this might change in the future FW versions...

irekz got a reaction from Youda in Sofar me3000sp and more than 4 pylon batteries.
Found the problem: Sofar allows you to connect to pylons using RS428 or CAN.
After adding 5th battery - Sofar could not see it when connected wia RS, but when I switched to CAN problem was resolved.

No shelves or addtional mounts. Only using the 4 screws in the front and no sagging what so ever. That pic is old, this is the current state.

Yip, I'll give a full write up on installing the Pylontech batteries with the Axpert MKS 5K inverter.
I love how these units look in the cabinet, below is my install
