  1. another option too optimise is just to put more batteries! Well done to Solar MD for not ripping off a client, but giving options to optimise!
  2. It works well so far, I don't know how it works without it.
  3. I think you have an old installation and they just activated it for you. My installation is from March 2019 - and it has been activated by the installer from day 1. It is similar to the smart inverters like Victron or SMA - where you can set how deep in % to discharge the battery. Also gives you the option to charge quick from the grid in case of load-shedding.
  4. I discharge about 60% in the summer. This is sufficient to go through the night. In the winter months mostly over 20 kWh.
  5. What info do you require exactly? I am running such a system. Logger V2 comes with a manual how to connect everything. To get a profile on their monitoring system you would require to write an e-mail to their support team.
  6. I have had my 22kWh system running for about 8 months now and also very happy so far! I am wondering, after the whole monitoring platform, why this guys don't have decent website, asked this before without a reply...
  7. Very well done, very neat! I think Solar MD uses your installation on Solar MD & Victron training sessions. I've seen this before!
  8. I would recommend you contact solarmd support team ([email protected]) and give them the logger SN, I had similar issue, they have another software which they run for the Axperts ( Axpert Ai), this assures you knock the Axpert on the exact % SoC What you wish. They solved it for me in like 10 min ( it was working hours). It has 3 basic functions ( day setting - Minimum SoC / Night setting - Minimum SoC and also at what SoC needs to start charging from the grid and with what current). Then it changes the settings dynamically, makes sure battery is always charged as well as your wished SoC - similar like ESS of Victron. They don't put it as a standard, as they give option of the installer to set it up and it works only if you have original Voltronic Axpert MKS 5kW. Keep well and let me know if helpful. S
  9. seems your cell phone battery needs charge - 11% compared to the 100% Solar MD
  10. I have paid for my 22kWh Solar MD cabinet setup give or take R150k (VAT incl.) and with the LoggerV2 included. This was done directly with one of the installers who has been dealing with Solar MD for couple of years now and the setup has been working well now for over 5 months. So it was about 6k/kWh ( consider that the installer probably adds 15-20% margin).
  11. I also don't think that R1000 + courier cost is worthed, unless they can assure that the battery bms digitally controls the MPPT ( via CAN Bus) for stop charging.
