  1. Can one connect a 12volt battery to a PV panel via a charge controller and still have the battery connected to a 1200A Meccer inverter connected to the grid, what happens when the grid comes back on?? any chance of damage to charge controller or inverter or will both be able to charge and cut off when battery is full?? Thanks.
  2. Thanks that's reassuring to what my thoughts are.
  3. The other option one may be able to help with is the 6 green indicators on the battery, if there are two lights on what SOC is indicated, 20%, 30% ?????
  4. Pylon, Synapse branded batteries and inverter,
  5. Yes, I mean state of charge, I want to discharge to 20% SOC and charge to 90% SOC. I have two 2.4 kWh Lith-ions in parallel. 48 V system. I need advice on what to set on the inverter/charger panel. Thanks
  6. Can someone advise me what the 20% DOD voltage is for Lit-ion batteries linked to a 48V inverter/charger. My cut off voltage is set at 48 volts and float is 50 Volts, Any advice please.
  7. You have lost me there, is there any way I can get some idea of battery charges from the control panel shown in my post
  8. I have 2 x 2,4kW Li-ion Synapse batteries in parallel and only have the Synapse 5 kW inverter control panel and readout. What battery voltage collates to: SOC 20%, 30%, 40% 80%,90% and 100%. Can someone help please. Thanks.
  9. In place of shade cloth use chicken wire mesh which could stay there permanently and would not impair the operation in sun light much, just a thought
  10. Presently have 12 x 330W panels in series and parallel, facing NE connected to 2 x 2.4 batteries via a 5kVA inverter charger, thinking of increasing to 3 batteries and 4 panels facing west. could I just run those west panels to an MPPT and to the batteries?
  11. If I install an east and a west bank of panels how do I ensure the most efficient bank is in use as the sun moves from one bank to the next. Is a second inverter/charger required or can one install an MPPT on the one bank direct to the batteries? Thanks, James
  12. If one has an east and west bank of panels do you need some form of change over switch to connect the most efficient bank during the day and what is the best option. Thanks. James
  13. Thanks Coulomb, Do I then go :- 26 = 51.8V, 27 = 50.3V, 29 = 48V, 12 = 50V, and 13 = 52V. I am not clued up on firmware or patching so have to go with what I can set on the panel.
  14. Hi can someone advise me of the settings needed to get the voltage settings for 2 x 2.4 Pylontek batteries to discharge to 20% and load to 90%. I have; 12 = 48V, 13 = 51V, 26 =53.2V, 27 = 51V, 29 = 46V, Could I drop 13 to get back on batteries sooner as the sun charges up? Thanks
  15. Hi Jan, can you tell us more about what you bought and where and how long have you used it? Thanks
  16. Thanks, do you have his contact details for me please.
  17. Thanks, anyone have one of these and would care to comment.
  18. Make an offer and I will consider it.
  19. Any further info on this battery worth R25 000 ?
  20. Any one prepared to offer an opinion on THE SUN PAYS Lithium iron 4.8 kW battery at around R26 000.
  21. Hi I am in East London and will be able to deliver to east rand JHB. area in about two to three weeks time as I will have a truck going up then. Make an offer. James
