  1. Hi It is just a random number generator application there is nothing nefarious about it your choice to enter the giveaway or not we would not expose our members to anything dangerous. Besides its a link to a web page you do not download anything.
  2. Hello all, We are very proud to finally have the ODIN range of Wind Turbines available at our online store. CLICK HERE to see what we have available so far. We have a lot of other wind power products which we will also be adding to the store in the next week. Some are affordable, and some are a little more expensive, however we always strive to provide for every need and requirement. The smaller mechanical pitch control horizontal axis turbines range from 1 to 10 kW, and the larger ones (over 10kW up to 100 kW) use electromechanical and magnetic systems for pitch control of the blades in order to regulate speed of the turbine and sustain constant voltage and power output. Speed control: An issue in wind turbine design One of the biggest issues in wind turbine design is speed control, due to the fact that wind speeds are not constant. A wind turbine that exceeds its rated speed is termed to be in overrun, and can be very dangerous. Hence all turbines on the market try to regulate rotor speeds, all using different methods. For example, some use a method by which the whole head of the turbine pitches up, in combination with a dump load that is built into its controller. These turbines typically peak at wind speeds of 12m/s though, and the production drops sharply down to a fifth of its rated capacity at 20m/s. Other methods used to combat overrun are: · Tail vanes that cause the machines to turn out of the wind; · Dump loads that place maximum electro mechanical load via the generator; and · Mechanical braking systems. In the past, the fixed blade wind turbine models that we sold would be rated 5kW at wind speeds of 8.9m/s, with a rotor speed of 260 rpm, and 6.5kW at 12m/s and 310 rpm. As the rpm increases, so does the production, to a certain point where the speed control kicks in, and then it starts to drop down again, however it would require very high wind speeds to reach those kind of output figures. The problem is that the controller has limitations on maximum output, so we found that the dump loads for these machines were rated at double the rated production at its nominal wind speed. Problems with fixed-blade wind turbines The things that can go wrong with fixed blade turbines are: A burnt-out dump load (they get very hot!) will potentially cause total failure and overrun of the generator, as well as critical damage to the bearings, rotor and windings, and the potential to throw blades; A severed cable between the generator and its controller will cause the same catastrophic damage, because there is no method to slow the rotational speed of the rotor down; Excessive wear and tear on the mechanical components due to erratic production and the turbine moving itself out of the wind continuously. Other negative factors linked to fixed blade turbines are: Difficulties in routing extra power production to devices that can use the extra power when it is available; Micro cycling of the batteries due to DC coupling, with no comms between the controller, battery and the inverter; and Difficult integration with MPPT controllers and integration with hybrid inverter systems. In the past we have been successful in implementing some fixed-turbine models, due to the fact that they come with a well-built MPPT controller, that can handle this kind of power production, however this made them quite expensive. Variable pitch-control horizontal axis wind turbines A variable pitch-control turbine uses the pitch of the blades to alter its speed, similar to the same technology found in aircraft. The advantages of using variable pitch blades vs fixed pitch blades are tremendous. Fixed blade machines do not produce constant rotor speeds, so power production can be very erratic. When rotor speeds are erratic, the mechanical components are more likely to wear out faster, and as a result will require more frequent service, and parts replacement like bearings and slip ring brushes. Advantages of mechanical variable pitch wind turbines The advantages of mechanical variable pitch wind turbines are as follows: Constant rotor speeds can be achieved; Lower mechanical wear and tear, and in turn, lower maintenance costs and longer service life; Almost no risk of a machine overrun due to the mechanical pitch control keeping rotor speeds in check (unless, of course, the pitch control mechanism fails); Much higher average power production, because the machines can produce nominal power from 9 m/s to 25 m/s with an almost flat power curve; Due to the constant voltage and sustained power output, the controllers for the machines do not need to be as robust as that required for turbines with fixed pitch blades, and the controller takes far less of a beating due to it not having to deal with huge power and voltage fluctuations; Higher efficiency, because when we use very high quality MPPT controllers, we can output almost any desired DC Voltage, allowing us to DC couple or AC couple by way of a grid-tied inverter; The advantage of AC coupling means that the turbine will not compete with any other MPPT controllers connected to the battery bank, eliminating micro-cycling completely. It makes the power available in 230/380vAC. This means that the inverter system can dictate what the power is used for, be it to charging batteries or servicing loads; and A lot of other potential efficiencies begin to emerge, such using automation to divert excess power to a usable non-essential load, instead of dumping it to a dump-load. In conclusion, Variable Pitch horizontal axis wind turbines have opened up almost unlimited possibilities to expand our clients’ renewable energy journeys. The only real problem is whether our clients have the required minimum wind speeds available in their area. As a rule of thumb, we recommend a minimum of 6 m/s for it to be viable. If there is anyone interested in wind power, or who wants to learn more about the turbines, how to integrate them with an existing solar system, or who just want to know whether it is viable or not, please do not hesitate to contact me in PM or via email at [email protected] . I would be more than willing to discuss it with you, and to recommend a solution that suits your requirement. We will also soon have engineer-designed and approved towers available for the various different wind turbine models that we have available.

  8. We Are Proud to Present The Magneto Product Review Product Review Done by Independent Engineer Battery Range Magneto 5.12kWh 51.2V 100Ah LiFePo4 battery Rackmount and Wall-Mount Reviewer DANIEL LOUBSER DIRECTOR OF DONTUWIRE Category Energy Storage Manufacturer Specifications Total Capacity: 5.12kWh Nominal Voltage: 51.2VDC Maximum Charge Voltage: 56VDC Discharge Cut-off Voltage: 48VDC Maximum Continuous Charge Current: 100A (1C) Maximum Continuous Discharge Current: 100A (1C) Operating Temperatures: Charging: 0~45°C Discharging: -20~60°C Storage: 0~40°C Cycles : 3000 @ 100% D.O.D, 6000 @ 80% D.O.D Maximum Depth of Discharge: 100% (85% Recommended) Dimensions (W x D x H): 440 x 430 x 177mm Weight: 45kg Parallel Connection: Up to 16 BMS Sets Protection: Over-Charge, Over-Discharge, Over-Current and Short-Circuit Design Lifespan: 15-20 Years (>6000 Cycles) @80% D.O.D. Warranty: 10 Years or 6000 Cycles for Average 80% DOD and Maximum 90% DOD Control Interface: RS232, RS485 and CAN Bus. Mounting and Enclosure The Magneto 5.12kWh battery range is available in a wall-mount and a rack-mount unit. Both units can be mounted either in rackmount or wall-mount configuration (rackmount unit by means of a wall-mount bracket). The size of the battery is impressive, being much smaller and more compact compared to other batteries with similar specifications. Communication The battery does not come with any user manual, which makes inverter communication setup difficult if the CAN or RS485 pin layout is unknown. By testing the most used CAN pin layouts, the CAN pin layout was confirmed to be the Pylontech protocol CAN2.0 used in brands such as Sunsynk, Pylontech, Hubble, REVOV, and many others. CAN Pin Layout: Pin 2 - GND, Pin 4 - CAN H, Pin 5 - CAN L Communication between Luxpower and Sunsynk inverters were tested to be stable without any frames dropped. Parallel communication between multiple batteries can be established by means of the RS485 ports and by setting the 4-bit DIP switch (with address 1 as the master) up to a maximum of 16 batteries. Performance The battery can comfortably charge and discharge at 1C without heating up significantly. In our tests, we tested up to 2C with temperatures remaining within their limits without throttling occurring. It is, however, recommended to stay within the manufacturer's limit of 1C. A great addition to the battery is a physical circuit breaker. Self-Discharge The battery's self-discharge is very good, with only 16mAh measured per hour. Start of Charge The goal of the charging test is to see how the cell temperature increases with the maximum allowed charge, and if the charging performance is throttled. The battery was charged at 1C for an hour, with cell temperatures T1-T4 at 26°C. End of Charge After charging from 0 to 100% SOC for an hour, the temperatures of T1-T4 increased to 44°C (1°C below the specification of 45°C). There was no charging performance throttling, with overall good constant charging curves. BMS Reading Accuracy To test the accuracy of the voltmeter reading at the battery terminals as well as any volt-drop resulting of high-resistance busbar usage or leakage of voltage caused by faulty breakers, a multimeter was used to test both the open-circuit and closed-circuit voltage. The measurements show a 99.94% accuracy with an open-circuit voltage of 0.003V, which is negligible. User Interface The battery user interface is a good addition to assist with monitoring the status of the battery. Information such as the pack voltage, current, state of charge (SOC), individual cell voltages, individual temperature sensors, and battery management system (BMS) are shown. Although most new inverters can show battery BMS information via CAN or RS485 communication, the information is mostly limited to pack voltage, pack temperature, SOC and BMS alarm codes. For inverters that are incompatible or not able to display general battery information, or for much better fault-finding and battery monitoring, this display offers a huge advantage. Problems such as cell imbalances, temperature runaway of a specific sensor and detailed BMS fault codes offers both users and installers an advantage in fault-finding without having to send the battery to the manufacturer. Main Menu Cell Voltages Temperatures BMS Status Conclusion We were really impressed by the compact size of the magneto battery range, good user interface, high performance, and good warranty. 10. Hi we have a route to remedy this through one of our major suppliers they will do a replacement Swap Out if found that the inverter is infact a warranty failure however the catch is that it is only for people that bought the inverter from our online store and if the inverter was bought from them the other suppliers do not really offer this. We also have given up with Sunsynk Local support when it comes to warranty repairs for products from other suppliers so we have exclusively been selling Sunsynk inverters supplied by the supplier that offers the Swap Out option in the case of a warranty failure. Sunsynk themselves are not very eager to communicate with Us nor with the End User they try to force the Installer to take the brunt of the warranty Issues. We have on many occasions attempted to do so but they are very set in their ways only route according to them is through the Single Sunsynk Support centre in JHB. There may be other suppliers that also offer a swap out option however We are only aware of one the others follow the normal long winded approach. There is still a time factor linked to the swap out option it takes about 2 weeks where waiting for Sunsynk support can take a couple of months. This is also one of the reasons we are slowly moving away from Sunsynk as the go to product and rather supporting Solis which has a Swap out Warranty Policy and a relatively short warranty swap out waiting time their inverters work very very well and the 5 and 6 KW units are Silent I have been testing them for some time now and can confirm that even in 40 degree conditions they do not get very hot nor do they make any sound. As an example I have a client on a Farm in a very rural area that has some problems with his Solis parallel configuration. Solis has Issued him with a replacement inverter they are also paying the installers call out fee to go to his farm and swapp the inverter and resolve the issues onsite without forcing the client to remove his existing system. They have already ascertained that there is a problem and the only way to resolve it is to do the troubleshooting onsite with a replacement unit. The same client had issues with one of the two of his Magneto Wall Mount 5.1 KWH batteries Magneto Energy sent him Replacement batteries before receiving the faulty ones back and they did this in a space of 1 week.. So yes some Manufacturers work with us others think they are too big to be bothered with good after sales service..

  14. Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉 we will Arrange to get your Prize to you as soon as we can well done !!!
  15. All online store Prices are the Correct Special prices media needs to be updated there was a further price drop on the Sunsynk 8KW inverter.
  16. Unfortunately no the Sunsynk Batteries prices have increased there is only one supplier that has them in stock and they are boosting the prices on those at the moment our normal suppliers do not have stock and we only expect to see stock from them in September however we have very good prices on other battery brands.
  17. Hey Guys please check our Online Store we have Crazy low prices on Sunsynk Inverters. Installers can contact us for installer prices margins are tight because of the specials running however we can help the installers out with better pricing. Please note Purchasing Sunsynk inverters from us do not follow the same warranty procedure as with other suppliers if the inverter is deemed faulty under warranty my supplier will do a warranty swap out on the inverter.
  18. Thank you for pointing that out My Error they are actually Freedom Won LV Batteries.
  19. Hey Guys we are very proud to showcase a really awesome project that is in progress with Dontuwire as the facilitator and installer and Powerforum Store (PTY) LTD as the Supplier of the hardware the Client contacted us for his complete project. The Installation consists of two farmsteads both with containerized Victron Systems with Freedom Won LV Batteries we will also be adding a total of 3 x 10 KW Variable Pitch Wind turbines that will be AC Coupled with Solis Grid tied inverters to the Victron Inverters. The containers have fire suppression air-conditioning and a full-blown security system in place they are insulated and brand new containers. As you can clearly see these farmers are commercial scale dairy farmers with very unique power requirements. Here are some of the Photos so far just to give you an Idea of the scope I will post all the technical details later.
  20. Yes however the main reason for frequency shifting is to prevent the battery bank from overcharging theoretically when the Grid tied inverter is coupled to the load side of the hybrid inverter and the hybrid inverter battery is not fully charged the frequency will be 50HZ which in turn will allow for the inversion process to go in reverse argument sake 230 VAC to 48v DC which in turn will charge the battery however when the battery is full the Grid tied inverter will change its frequency in increments until the frequency is at such a point that the inversion process is out of synchronization preventing the batteries from charging. Even when the grid tied inverter is running at a slightly elevated frequency normal loads will still be able to use the power generated by the grid tied inverter without using battery power.
  21. Ok time is Running out almost time to give the SOLIS S-6 Away
  22. The New Solis S6 Range Supports Ac Coupling with frequency Shifting could be a solution to your problem.
  23. The turbine comes with a DC rectified constant voltage controller that we can specify a set Voltage range on for example 350 VDC however your Dump Load or resistor needs to be double the rating of the turbine especially if it is a fixed blade turbine however the question Andre Asked is how to integrate a turbine if the MPPT's are already fully populated.
  24. No you would AC couple it connecting to the PV Input is a DC Connection. Ac coupling is done with a Solis Grid Tied Inverter and you would connect the wind turbine to the Solis Grid tied Inverter using constant voltage input. The Solis grid tied inverter will connect to the Gen Port on the Sunsynk and you activate Micro Inverter feature on the Sunsynk. You can try to connect to the Sunsynk MPPT however you would need the exact power curve of the turbine and program each power point into the Sunsynk this can be difficult to get 100 % right AC coupling on the AUX port is the most efficient method.
  25. Yes enter the Giveaway 😀 https://app.viralsweep.com/sweeps/full/17f8da-141740?framed=1https://app.viralsweep.com/sweeps/full/17f8da-141740?framed=1
