  1. Hi @Gary Waterworth just to let you know the updated git files worked fine, and I am now pulling the data into HA 100%. Lots of work to do to get all the sensors/templates and dashboards going, but will get through that. Haven't braved the automation yet, but very keen to get into that. Thanks again for all your effort and sharing thereof. Big Kudos.
  2. Hi @Gary Waterworth, so excited to find your solution. I am relatively new to HA, but loving it and especially the collaboration. I too am ultimately wanting to edit Sunsynk settings if SOC is low and load-shedding is coming soon. Again, thank-you for your work to date. I have followed the steps best I can, and the entities are appearing, but sensors show "unavailable". When looking at Developer Tools, States most of the sensor.sunsynk....... are unavailable, except the plant list, which returns correct info. The sensor.sunsynk_flow is returning data in the attributes. Is this to be expected, and one must create new sensors using templates? Possibly the issue described below is stopping data-flow. On the Node-Red Debug notes the script seems to generally be running, but getting stuck on Inverter Serial Number.
  3. Hi @Sonoff Africa, I would be very interested in edge Sonoff devices. I am trying to stick with a Sonoff ecosystem, but starting to look at HA, as I need a few scenes to run during LS, and sadly many of our ISP's fail during heavy LS. If I understand you correctly and you have edge devices that could talk to each other in LAN mode, that would be a massive breakthrough. I would be very interested in providing feedback etc. if these are still in Beta stage.
  4. Hi there, I'm about to start with Home Assistant, primarily using Sonoff/Ewelink LAN, but super-keen to integrate with Sunsynk using @Bloubul7template. Can the Sunsynk integration work on Home Assistant OS, or does one need to use the complete PiOS and run HA in a container. Excuse terminology, I'm just getting into this.
  5. When Sunsynk got back to me with my queries on Aux circuit, they pointed me to the Deye videos, while system menus look a little different, the video on Aux answers a few questions. Unfortunately not on Micro Inverters though. https://www.deyeinverter.com/video/
  6. @Tariq, Yes, hunting neutrals can be interesting, glad my info helped you. I will try to wire all my NE loads to this circuit in anticipation of load shedding in winter. Such an amazing system. I really put it through it's paces today, and was super impressed.
  7. Summary of findings/testing of Sunsynk 8.8kW using Aux Circuit for load shedding. I put together the attached doc to save future buyers like me having to spend so long in finding out what should be explained in user manual, as well as installer manual. Thanks @Achmat and @Johann1982 for your assistance and patience. Hope this is of assistance. Sunsynk Aux Circuit.pdf
  8. Hi Achmat, your Edit confuses me. If you talking about during load shedding, I was told this NE circuit will not give any power? If Grid available it is limited by max pass through (less any current through UPS+Aux.) If I understand your comment properly you are saying UPS circuit can provide more than the inverter capacity if grid is available? I am getting more and more frustrated that Sunsynk cannot provide conclusive clarity on this topic of maximum capacities if grid available or not.
  9. Hi Achmat, thanks again for all your info. I am planning to move all my NE circuits to Aux so that the load can be managed depending on solar/SoC available. Deducing from your and other comments would you agree with the following summary. I am really dissapointed Sunsynk cannot explain this functionality, which I think is one of the main selling points of this inverter. Failing a propper answer, I suppose the only way is to connect something and see how it behaves under different conditions.
  10. Hi Achmat, still cant fathom why Sunsynk will not explain how this works. So during load shed if the solar is set to 2kw and aux demand exceeds tbis will it get balance from batt (until SoC li.it reached). Query is, can we use this aux output at night off battery?
  11. Thanks again for your valued input. Are you successfully using the Aux circuit for your heavy (non UPS) loads, and then able to manage them according to battery SOC? Last question there is a Solar W field on the Aux setup screen, do you know what this setting does - again there is little/no information in help/O&M. I really want to make full use of the capabilities of this inverter so that heavy load circuits can be connected while load shedding for partial use, but protecting the batteries from being drained too far.
  12. Hi Achmat, mine was installed this week in Cpt. The label still shows 18+18.
  13. Thanks Achmat this is the way I would interpret it too, but my installer is suspect as it does not read clearly in any docs/explanation. In your experience is the neutral/earth relay always neccessary, or only if major imbalance. Thx for assistance
  14. Hi @Achmat, yes, I would like to split the loads. My issue is I would like to understand the limitations on this circuit are in Grid and Off-Grid mode rather than trial and error. There is no clear info on this in any manual.
  15. Hi @Johann1982, I have read your posts with great interest. I have just had Sunsynk 8.8KW + 5.6kw PV + 7.4kW Li installed. My installer has used the N.E. output for most of my heavy loads, but this means I cannot use them during load shedding (not explained). I would like to move these loads to the Aux output, so that they can be managed on SOC, but am anxious to do this before I understand the problems and would hugely appreciate your advice on this. If latest version installed, is it still essential to have the relay to bond Neutral/Earth? Do you know what the capacity limit is on this aux output when grid is on? Obviously in load shedding it would be limited to inverter total capacity, but if grid is available, I see a max "bypass" rating of 90A in manual. Installer is hesitant to do this, but I think it takes advantage of the Sunsynk design and think it should be done this way. Look forward to hearing from you.
