MPPT Charger not picking up Solar array

Featured Replies

I just woke up this morning and noticed the inverter was in bypass because the Solar array wasnt charging the battery and upon closer inspection i realised there was no power coming from the Solar array. The array has always been working fine. I tested one or two panels and they individually have voltage. I have tried restarting the system but no solar being recongised by the inverter. I am a bit stuck and dont know what to do. I am using a Kodak 3kw off grid inverter, 6 x 330watts solar panels connected in series and a UP2500 battery. So the whole day today i have been on grid, no solar.

I had the same issue at one point - i am using watchpower, and had several settings changes made over time, and i had to set the watchpower settings back to defaults, and then it power was restored from my PV.  (i also had a PV voltage reading, but no power coming from the array)

Not sure if that will be of any use, but defaulting all the settings made my PV work again

So do you see reasonable voltage at the PV input terminals of the inverter? That will test your panels, wiring, breakers, etc, and determine if the problem is inside the inverter-charger or outside.
