CM21 got a reaction from james naidoo in Solar Panel OrientationHello what is the best way of determing the best orientation of solar panels for an installation. My current setup usually starts around 6:30AM and stops around 4:30PM but i have seen other installations that start around the same time and end as late as 6pm. Is there something i am missing?

CM21 reacted to Moffat in PYLONTECH UP2500 WANTED!!!You may be fortunate on this forum, but then again, it'll be a hit and a miss and you need to weigh-up the risk and your risk tolerance levels. All the best.

CM21 reacted to edp in For Sale : 4 x US2000 Pylontech BatteriesHi CM21/Giggsie, I rarely took the SOC below 30% and never below 20%. My inverter is set to switch off when SOC 19%. Price would be R10 000 per individual battery and subject that I will have orders for all 4. It is my intention to sell all 4 as I require both the cash and the space for a potential upgrade.

CM21 reacted to Tariq in Batteries & their total cycles / lifespanHi @Leshen, I have two Pylontech 2000 batteries ( paid R15,000 each last year 😢😢), so max discharge is a total of 50 amps, the bms limits the current to a max of just under 48 amps, rest comes from the grid, so I don’t understand how a fault can occur. The only time we had a shutdown when during load shedding, wife switched on both the kettle AND microwave at the same time, but as the load was removed the battery reset itself

You can then just run these circut breakers on the output of the inverter. The inverter will seamlessly use grid, batteries or solar depending what is available and settings on the inverter.
Something like this.
Grid -> main DB with non essential loads -> inverter -> sub DB with essential loads
