  1. Interesting, i also recently heard of lithium-titanate batteries for the first time https://www.eetimes.com/all-about-batteries-part-12-lithium-titanate-lto/?_ga
  2. I am running currently what you are attempting to do, running a dab esy box mini 3 water booster pump using 8 panels ( 8 X 495W), on a 5KW Axpert King (using 450W - 550W when in use), when pumping water up 2 stories currently
  3. It has been a bit cloudy these last few days, had to use grid power much more than i would have liked
  4. i want to do the same thing
  5. Grace my ***...... they knew it was faulty and was probably holding out in the hope that you would spend more money with them
  6. Hi Everyone when looking at the charging of my battery via Sola Assistant this morning, it shows that it is charging the battery with more energy than what is available via solar (charging the battery at 1853W while solar is at 1807W) is there something i am missing here? a setting perhaps somewhere?
  7. Exactly what i have, and it works just fine 😎
  8. i have mine running from the tank all the time, which fills up as i use the water and then the float valve closes when full
  9. Thank you Jacques, i am happy to leave it alone then 😁
  10. Hi Jacques i also have the feeling that this is the case, however i want to know if this is normal/expected behavior
  11. I have been through the Axpert Manual to see where i can change the max solar charge settings, which is set at 20A, but when it starts charging when solar is ample, it exceeds that 20A setting, and goes all the way to 30A at times.
  12. @sunset1 - i have a Axpert King (5KW)
  13. i just changed my output from solar to utility as a test (via my phone), and it works as it should
  14. Hi Jaxone That is with eskom and solar both available (grid in red is Eskom, and Solar is Green), and even with both of them available, it still draws from the batteries
  15. Hi everyone When looking at the output on my inverter, it seems it is drawing power from the batteries even when there is enough solar and utility power is also available? i have looked at every setting there is, but it doesn't seem to make a difference - any ideas on how to fix this?
  16. i also started off with watchpower and found it to be mediocre at best, you can use this multisib software, it is pretty good considering it is free. http://www.multisibcontrol.net/
  17. watchpower for me was useless, until i found MultiSIBcontrol. it happend a few times with watchpower where it wouldnt display any PV readings until i set all the watchpower settings to default, and then it would only display the pv input try this MultiSIBcontrol http://www.multisibcontrol.net/
  18. mine seems to be doing the same, at least it looks this way when i look at my graph, with my settings on SUB, it seems to pull the balance from the batteries and not utility?? or am i reading it wrong?
  19. I run 2 strings of 4 panels 495w JA solar on my 5kw Axpert - rather happy with them, they work great even in rainy low light conditions.
  20. I think i figured something out - it appears i have to put the inverter itself into ECO mode (bypass mode) in order for this to work, had a go at it just now, and i was able to remove the batteries and power up the inverter with the whole house powered
  21. Yeah, i think it was my fault, i might have pushed the batteries too hard while getting to optimum solar/battery config going... hopefully i can rejuvenate them, otherwise i will have to hold out until there is money for the pylons....
  22. Thank you @87 Dream - thank you for the feedback, changeover switch it is...
  23. Hi @PowerUser - i spoke to the installer and i do have a changeover switch, but it has three settings, and i think i forgot that it has those settings, so i think i will be able to exactly what i need to do now.
  24. i was afraid of that..... sigh.. Yes, it is a 5KW inverter... (saving up at the moment for some pylontech batteries) is there a way i can bypass the inverter altogether so i can get the batteries charged, seeing as i don't have any power when i do remove the batteries?
