Basically wipe all data off it? You could use Watchpower to reset to factory defaults. I don't use it myself, but I believe that it's there somewhere. That won't restore it to the original firmwares, but that won't matter.
January 30, 20224 yr Author My new inverter finally arrived. The Model number is: RCT - AXMX2 - 8K48V. It seems to be the closest to this one: http://www.mppsolar.com/manual/U-GK%2C U-MS/U-MS series user manual.pdf, however, they are not 100% the same. There are slight differences. Does anyone know where I can get the latest firmwares for this inverter. The current firmwares are: Main CPU: 54.01 Secondary CPU: 22.08 Also, how do you upgrade the firmware on one of these inverters? Thanks. Edited January 30, 20224 yr by NSingh

The following manual should be better; you may have to do a free registration to download it: http://voltronicpower.com/content/download/Manual/Axpert MAX II-manual-20210811.pdf 39 minutes ago, NSingh said: Does anyone know where I can get the latest firmwares for this inverter. Other posts have indicated that 8 kW firmware is nowhere to be found, sadly. One installer had to take his customer's units back to Mecer (?) for flash updating. Hopefully that will change. 39 minutes ago, NSingh said: Also, how do you upgrade the firmware on one of these inverters? First, you need the firmware update files, and it seems that these are impossible to obtain for this model so far. Once you have those, it looks like it's much the same as previous models, with minor differences. For the main (DSP, U1) firmware: you have the choice of the USB method, or the PC via RS-232 method. So you need either a USB On-The-Go (OTG) cable (micro-USB to type A socket, first method) or a USB to RS-232 adapter (for the RS-232 and PC method). Update instructions that should be close enough are here.

Thanks! 6 hours ago, Coulomb said: nowhere to be found Yes, I have search everywhere and cannot find it either. I hope they release it to the public soon. 6 hours ago, Coulomb said: First, you need the firmware update files, Thanks @Coulomb. It is quite similar to the previous module. I just have to wait for the firmware. If you manage to find it in the future, please let me know.

Which pins from the RJ45 connecter do I use for the inverter and which pins do I use for the batteries? This is the I bought: https://www.sustainable.co.za/collections/solar-power-kits/products/rct-5kva-5kw-9-6kwh-48v-lithium-back-up-kit.
