Does anyone have the latest manual for this inverter?

Also, how can I factory reset my current inverter (the VMIII)? Basically wipe all data off it?

You could use Watchpower to reset to factory defaults. I don't use it myself, but I believe that it's there somewhere.

That won't restore it to the original firmwares, but that won't matter.

  • Yes. These two models share the same removable display, which is what connects to the BMS.  The cable category is not critical, either of those is fine. It's only low speed serial data (9600 bi

  • In summary, use removable display firmware version 02.66 or its patched version 02.66a. It eliminates the warning. I'd actually prefer to see the warning, as long as it doesn't beep (very early displa

My new inverter finally arrived. The Model number is: RCT - AXMX2 - 8K48V. It seems to be the closest to this one: http://www.mppsolar.com/manual/U-GK%2C U-MS/U-MS series user manual.pdf, however, they are not 100% the same. There are slight differences.

Does anyone know where I can get the latest firmwares for this inverter. The current firmwares are:

Main CPU: 54.01

Secondary CPU: 22.08

Also, how do you upgrade the firmware on one of these inverters?

Thanks.

I'm assuming from the model number that it's an 8 kW model. The following manual should be better; you may have to do a free registration to download it:

Other posts have indicated that 8 kW firmware is nowhere to be found, sadly. One installer had to take his customer's units back to Mecer (?) for flash updating. Hopefully that will change.

First, you need the firmware update files, and it seems that these are impossible to obtain for this model so far. Once you have those, it looks like it's much the same as previous models, with minor differences.

For the main (DSP, U1) firmware: you have the choice of the USB method, or the PC via RS-232 method. So you need either a USB On-The-Go (OTG) cable (micro-USB to type A socket, first method) or a USB to RS-232 adapter (for the RS-232 and PC method). Update instructions that should be close enough are here.

Yes, I have search everywhere and cannot find it either. I hope they release it to the public soon.

Thanks @Coulomb. It is quite similar to the previous module. I just have to wait for the firmware. If you manage to find it in the future, please let me know.

Good day

I trust you are well.

I have an SRNE inverter. The inverter is connected to two 48v Dynes batteries. My inverter keeps displaying bms fault which is the communication from the inverter to the batteries.

I need assistance with the Communication Cable between the inverter’s BMS and the batteries. Which pins from the RJ45 connecter do I use for the inverter and which pins do I use for the batteries?

This is the I bought: https://www.sustainable.co.za/collections/solar-power-kits/products/rct-5kva-5kw-9-6kwh-48v-lithium-back-up-kit.

I have a VMIII inverter. The inverter is connected to four UP2500 Pylontech batteries. My inverter keeps displaying error 61 along with alarm sound which is the communication from the inverter to the batteries.

This page may help, though it is years old now:

Use the bottom (PIP-5048MK) diagram.
