How to install solar inverter in farm house - current electricity will be cancelled.

Good day guys, I need some assistance here please.

A fiend of mine owns a farm in Northern Cape.

The farm house currently runs on supplied electricity which will be cancelled.

They only want to use the house for 1 weekend a month and want to run the lights and fridge for the weekend when they are there.

Was thinking of something cheapish:

1 x Growatt 3kw Solar inverter

2 x 200ah Vision Lithium batteries

4 x 325W Solar panels

Can one just connect it direct into the current DB? There will be no incoming electricy supply from eskom anymore.

If I can connect straight to DB, do I just remove the eskom incoming and connect the output from the inverter to the main breaker?

Stove and hot water is gas.

Will only be fridge and lights.

All input and advice will be appreciated.

Johann

Yes you can. But make sure you have your own earth if the Eskom cable is disconnected. Perhaps you need to drive an earth spike in the ground.

I would suggest to choose an inverter that runs on 48V battery to reduce currents, i.e 4kW inverter.
