Is this the size you are thinking of? That capacitor is directly across AC-in. There are other, smaller capacitors to earth (blue in colour).

Of course, Deye may be totally different. But they tend to follow the same practices.

Yes that is correct. Although a general item I just thought it is cheap to try and no harm if already fitted. Easy to do without opening a unit still under warranty.

Hi all

There are two other posts on the same topic that is worth reading if you are still looking for a solution. These post are for Sunsynk inverters, however I believe the internals are the same.
