That capacitor is directly across AC-in. There are other, smaller capacitors to earth (blue in colour). Of course, Deye may be totally different. But they tend to follow the same practices.

Yes that is correct. Although a general item I just thought it is cheap to try and no harm if already fitted. Easy to do without opening a unit still under warranty.
