Hello, I have 2x Sunsynk 5kW inverter with a total of 24x 410W panels. I calculated that I can have a max of 8-10 panels per string and have 4 strings available for the entire system. The future planning is to have a total of 32 panels, with 8 panels per string. Should I for now split the 24 Panels in equal quantities of 6 per string, or can I split them in strings of 8 and 4 per inverter?

That is what I did but the problem with  the master slave inverter is that the load (I only have essential lods) is automatically split between the two inverters. This causes the one inverter to have enough PV’s to carry the load without drawing from the battery, where the other inverter with only 8 PV’s is supplementing from the batteries. What I have noticed is that the one with 16 panels is charging the batteries with the excess and the one with 8 is drawing from the batteries and effectively drawing and charging at the same time

I manual recommends the PV strings to be balanced, but I am suspecting that the master and slave should also be balanced, meaning equal amount of PV’s per inverter to work properly

As long as you are using only one battery, that should be perfectly fine. At least, it works fine with Axperts; I don't know SunSynks at all.
