Jaxone Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 Seems the Assistant does not work at all as intended … I have inverter set to SBU , activated the Maintain battery state of charge setting. Connected Solar Assistant to Management port of Pylontech by RS232 and via USB to the inverter. WHILE the Maintain battery state of charge is active and the primary source is SBU I try to override the power source for x amount of time and set it to Solar First.. After this the inverter SHOULD return to SBU … but it does not ??? Or I understood wrong this setting ? Here the video : https://youtu.be/vUwtvxC6wP4 Quote
Steve87 Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 Hi Jaxone, depends on a lot of variables and maybe we don't have all the information on your problem. There is a reason the inverter won't go back to SBU mode. One such reason is because it depends on the back to battery discharge setting on the menu of the inverter. If the battery voltage is not above this threshold, the SBU mode will not activate. After the X amount of time, compare the battery voltage to the setting and you might find this to be an issue. Jaxone Posted May 22, 2022 Author Posted May 22, 2022 The batteries are 100% charged and Solar Assist is seeing them as fully charged also. If I manually switch to SBU it will switch without a problem. Quote
zsde Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 Have you been in contact with SA? Perhaps discuss your perceived problem with them [email protected] Quote

Jaxone Posted May 23, 2022 Author Posted May 23, 2022 I did reported the bug , I am just curious if anyone else has this issue. Had same issue with older versions of SA also. Tested the same functionality with MultiSIBControl and that one seems to work as intended. Quote
