June 24, 20223 yr I had a re-installation of my Goodwe 5048 ES inverter with 2 Pylontech 2000B Plus batteries. They were in storage for about nine months. upon startup the one battery’s red light stays in and I get an intermittent BMS Internal Fault. Sometimes it is Normal. I charged the batteries by setting the inverter to Backup mode as we are using most of the generated power during the day, but SOC only went op to 84 %. diagnostic messages indicated in the attachment. Any advice will be appreciated.
June 24, 20223 yr What was the batteries voltage after storage ? before you charged them up . I would recommend that you connect to the batteries via batteryview to see the voltages of the individual cells and other possible errors ect. Also make sure they are both on the latest firmware . June 24, 20223 yr Author Where can I find BatteryView? I did not check the voltage, just assumed they would be ok.. The one battery works 100% but the other one has issues.

Warning Pylontech 10-Year Warranty is not worth the paper it's written on, and all the Protection they refer to in the manual does not protect the battery, Beware people The battery is showing BMS internal fault expect to pay $300 for a new board, this product is not what the manual states it is, the protection they boast of does not protect.

Agreed that this is first prize, but if OP does not have the console cable he can also consider doing the manual balancing trick:
