wimsza
Hi We have installed a Sunsynk 8Kw Hybrid with 5Kw panels and 3 x Pylontech UP5000 (to be upgraded to 3 as soon as available) All load, except for Geysers and Aircons are on essentials, with a CT coil facing correctly from the grid. There is also legal feedback to the grid. Although the feed to the inverter is connected to grid-earth, when the change over switch is set to inverter all essential loads are without earth. When set to grid, earth is present. Question: Do I need to install an earth-spike to the inverter, a relay or what is the solution.
Derek Ramos
I think you are talking about earth/ neutral bonding.
wimsza
When you put a plug tester on, it shows live and neutral but no earth (btw RCD does not trip) When switched to grid power plug tester shows earth as well
Sc00bs
Exactly what is described in the video. Having a floating Neutral is dangerous and something that you should get sorted out.

If the current through L and N does not balance out only then should it trip. Based on those that have no E connection.
