Communication Failure between Dyness BX51100 and 8kw Sunsynk inverter
@Sidewinder So I managed to use my brothers battery to test communication.. communication to the inverter with my brothers battery was 100% (BX51100) so now I have narrowed it down to all 4 batteries have a problem with the BMS communication and the inverter is not the problem. I'm going to have to try contact Dyness to see if a technician can come out and test the batteries or if I can take the batteries to Dyness for testing. does anyone maybe know someone or have contact details for Dyness? @Dyness @Dyness Engineer Weizhong

Communication Failure between Dyness BX51100 and 8kw Sunsynk inverter
Thanks @Sidewinder I requested and upgrade of firmware from Sunsynk, they pushed through the update pretty quick although nothing has changed with the system.. I'm still unsure if I have an inverter issue or battery issue. What I am going to do is bring one of my brothers BX51100 batteries and connect it up to see if I can find the source of the problem. do you perhaps know the exact settings required to run the batteries in voltage mode? Thank you for your help.

Communication Failure between Dyness BX51100 and 8kw Sunsynk inverter
Hi Randomly out of the Blue my 4 x Dyness BX51100 batteries stopped communicating with my 8kw Inverter. The system has been running flawlessly for 2 years with no issues at all. Last night I noticed my batteries displaying green lights on 1 & 4 of the soc percentage bar. All of my batteries displaying the same and the inverter is not reading the batteries in the LI-BMS menu. I have battery one set as master (dip switch correct) and 3 other batteries as slaves(dip switch correct) I have tried the following : Restarted the whole system, Replaced all the cables Tested each battery individually to see if the inverter starts reading. Performed a factory reset on the inverter. Done multiple start up procedures. at this point I have no idea what else to do, I can’t get hold of anyone at Dyness. I also can’t remember how to request a firmware upgrade from sunsynk. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for installers in Betty’s Bay Cape Town
Hi all, I’ve got a friend in Cape Town, he is looking to install a system at his house that’s currently being built, he does not have much knowledge in solar and inverters. He received a quote which seems to be okay in price, but after looking through some of the company installs I’m not quite happy with their workmanship. I’m also not sure how knowledgeable he is and how much after sales service he will provide. so I’m looking for credible companies with good workmanship and good after sales service. To me this is more important than price. I would gladly do his installation as I have done for most of my family members, but I live in JHB and don’t have the time, I won’t be able to provide the service he might need or provide him with a COC. Basically he won’t have any utility service so it will be completely off grid. It’s not a massive house and it’s only 3 people staying there. Gas geysers are installed but all the particulars can be discussed on site inspection. It would be great if you could list your company details and we will contact you for a quote or site inspection Thanks

For Sale: LiFePO4 replacement for Lead acid
It’s a PSS inverter. www.pss.co.za there’s not user settings, took the inverter to the supplier to check it out and that’s when they told me their inverters don’t work with lithium batteries. Now I’m just sitting with these batteries. I am considering buying another small inverter to use these batteries for my office but I don’t know which inverter would be best. Was thinking of maybe a 3kva growatt or something

For Sale: LiFePO4 replacement for Lead acid
Hi I bought these batteries for my brother to use on his inverter at home. He was using lead acid but I thought these would be better and last longer. Sadly the inverter doesn’t support LiFePO4 so we landed up buying gel instead. I kept the batteries to use on my dads growatt inverter but now we have decided to buy a 5kw instead so I have no use for them. There are two for sale.. would like to sell them as a pair. Item: Security-prod 100ah (1280w) LiFePO4 (drop in lead acid replacement) Age: bought in Feb, never used Price: R6000 each Payment Method Accepted: FNB GEO or cash Packaging: original Condition: Brand new Location: Johannesburg South Reason: not needed Shipping: none Collection: yes
