Felicitysolar batteries

Featured Replies

Have seen the Feilicity solar batteries being sold locally as Five Star batteries.

My friend bought a 200ah one as a very good price (=-40k if I remember correctly)

His model however doesn't have a Canbus connection and couldn't get it to speak to his Sunsynk inverter, although the supplier says that it does.

I seriously considered this battery but ended up buying a custom built navitas battery instead. Ended up getting 15.36kWh of battery capacity for much less of that of 2 x felicity batteries.

What were your costs for your "Navitas" if I may ask. Also, where did you get a price for the Felicity?

Felicity battery's were priced at 38k each from solarwaysuppliers.

The navitas were priced at approx R20800 ea but I believe the prices has gone up.

I have been using the "LPBF48200-Mhttps://www.felicitysolar.com/lifepo4-48v-200-amp-lithium-ion-power-battery-pack-with-bms-for-inverter_p105.html for the past year, no issues besides the communication, I just set the voltages on my inviter. I just received LPBF48300 this week, I will plug it in soon and test that.

Bamba where did you purchase  the "LPBF48300" ? directly form felicity or through a reseller?

When mentioning communication issues does that mean that you are running it without a communication between the inverter and the BMS?

What Voltage values did you set for your inverter and if you do not mind sharing what inverter are you using. How are you monitoring the battery?

Felicity told me that their batteries only support communication with the following brand of inverters: " Growatt", "Deye" and "Their own brand of "inverter". HOwevere it is OK and supported to use it without the communication.

I am planning about using it in combination with an "MPP Solar inverter" and replace my  lead-acid battery bank. In order to monitor the state of the battery I will use my existing Victron BMV.

The price is approx $2000 USD excluding shipping

Expect shipping and import taxes+VAT to double that price.
Who sells these locally?

I got bought it directly from them.

I'm running without communication between the battery and Inviter.

I'm using a Deye inviter, and its able to determine the SOC based on the voltages, my settings below:

If you see below it is able to determine the SOC, please not i have a setting to top up the battery if not 100% between 6PM and 7PM:

Bamba,

How was your shopping experience with felecity solar? Ever needed to contact support?

Finally does the LBPF48300 has a way to communicate with it in order to monitor\check its status for example using a software on a notebook or mobile app?

Bamba,

How is the performance of the LBPF48300, Does it deliver the capacity it say ?

The shopping experiences was good, I didn't have any hiccup's. I contacted the support now to get information on making the LBPF48300 communicate with my inviter, which they responded within 24hours, and now the inviter and the LBPF48300 are communicating. Regarding capacity, it is for sure bigger than the 10kwh(Felicity, which was fully around 13H00 - 14H00) and they are for sure bigger that the 7kwh of Pylontech's I had(they used to be full by 12PM) my solar array is very small at 4 x 595w not enough to fill the battery, today it went from 25% to 75% on full sunlight.

Bamba.

Did Felicity solar provide you with a software that you can use to access the battery unit and check on it: for  example you can use it for basic troubleshooting?

No software needed, I only had to make(crimp) a custom cable that connects the to the inverter. pin 5 and 6 on the battery side, and pin 1 and 2 on the inviter(Deye)
