September 4, 20223 yr Evening Everyone Can someone please assist me with establishing BMS communication between a 5KW Sunsynk and Freedomwon E Tower. (1 battery) Are my values correct? Should the BMS automatically adjust the values for the Float, absorption and equalization voltage? Thanks
September 5, 20223 yr Did you change the address dip switches on the Freedomwon? The first one should be up and the rest down.

IMO that is exactly what the Freedom Won should do. I remember switching from another brand of battery to Freedom Won. The problem had been that this other brand couldn't get on with my inverter. In the inverter mode they suggested ("self define") you could match their suggested settings but had to forgo comms (any cable you plugged in was ignored). If you got their add on comms box you could get comms, but the inverter mode they asked for ("default lithium") did not allow any changing of parameters via the app provided by the inverter manufacturer. So it was impossible to get BMS & inverter on the same page. So the technician arrives to install the FW and he selects "default lithium" and I thought "I've been down this road before." But no. The FW was able to not only communicate with the BMS but also set all the parameters on the inverter, so that the settings were all correct (and I couldn't foul them up if I tried). So that is exactly what I expect the FW to do.
September 5, 20223 yr So sorry, I left out a key piece of advice/info. You need to make sure the cable between the FW and your inverter is correct. The correct pinouts for each end (the FW end and the inverter end) will be found on the Freedom Won web site. Always remember that the good thing about standards is that there's so many to chose from.
