Assistance with Luxpower SNA5000 wifi setup.

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

I am wondering if anyone can help me set up the wifi for the Luxpower SNA5000 as I am unable to fix the issue I am having.

I've just had the following setup installed by an Electrician but he is of no help regarding the setup of the Inverter.
- Luxpower sna5000

- Shoto 5.12KwH Battery

- 6*545w canadian solar panels.

I had to setup the battery coms myself and am currently struggling with the wifi dongle.

I have registered the dongle using some code he gave me but when I plug the unit into the inverter, the INV light does not turn on. The first light is solid and the second light is blinking. So I am think that the unit is not connecting to the inverter for some reason.

Is there anyone who have had a similar experience and might be able to tell me how they fixed it or who I can contact for assistance?

Hey bud,

new to this aswell.

I believe that the dongle might not be connected to the wifi.

What I did was download the LuxPower app and connect the ssid that is broadcasted from the dongle (begins with BA).

Once connected I then select wifi connect. Then selected my house holds internet ssid from drop down and added the password.

Once it’s connected you must then register it with your LuxPower dashboard. The solar gent did that for me though :)

No. I have tried everything that the above user suggesting before he even suggested it. The issue is not the steps I am following but the actual fact that the dongle does not want to connect to the wifi no matter what.

Aspergo used to have an active user account on this Forum and they used to interact with queries. They are the official importers. Wonder why they don't frequent here anymore to support the user community.

I managed to sort it out. I have an iphone. The phone must first select to 'interact' with the dongle. It is similar to how you would get a request to pair with a Bluetooth device.

My dongle was connected and worked perfectly for a number of weeks, now all of a sudden it "loose connection".  After unplug from the inverter and re-plug it started worked the previous time.

This time however it bluntly refuse.  Only the lower green light is burning solid, other two is off and remain off.

I tried going through the "repairing" procedure from scratch but no luck at all.

I'm starting to think there is something wrong with my dongle specifically.

Any help/suggestions/advice please?

I have purchased lux power hybrid inverters for my tenants but am still stuck with my first installation,

*When I try to register the app says your dongle is already registered so what's next now.

*Even though I finished the installation but the batteries are not charging like other inverters where charging battery is default by AC/PV

Hi.

I had Lux 5kw inverter installed.  When trying to register the app, it's says the dongle already exists. The supplier says that their supplier has binded  them. Now we are trying to unbind it . Is there a way to do so and re register the app?

Thanks

Good day.

I found that the wi fi setup video on YouTube was extremely helpful.

No link to the video.

Hello All

My solution was to revert to an older router that previously worked with the inverter dongle. This resolved a month of trial and error.

My take, the luxpower dongle is not compatible with newer one wifi router security protocols hence not assigned an IP address.
