Is this the correct place to complain that the app keeps logging me out everytime its closed on my phone? 

Will you guys be able to request a "keep me signed in" button or something?

Ive been a huge sonoff fan since 2017, and in these many years have only experienced one server downtime so never use alternative apps to operate it, but this issue is starting to make me look at alternatives as its super annoying having to log in everytime first before adjusting my fan speed.

You are not alone. This screen shows how I switch a device off. The power button changes from blue on a white back ground when on to the black back ground which implies it is off. Yes it does switch off but hours later it will still show the load is using power.

Further each time I want to check the power used I have to wait 30+ seconds. With some support I changed my WiFi and with the new ISP it stayed 30+ seconds.  I do stream all my TV and never is there a problem.

I have tried to resolve it here but no luck.

I do believe that you may be experiencing network issues as per the discussions the other night and the signal strength as per your screen shot. Also you mostly likely have a double NAT issue or a faulty Sonoff device which are far an few between.

We have recommend Smart Home 21 can come out and resolve your network issues, if I am correct you run multiple router's ?

Ewelink should not sign you out unless you logging through a different device, please feel free to give me a call tomorrow and we can defiantly debug the issue.

I have to run and will be online tomorrow night.

I can put together a little test rig  with a router, I can configure the router and a device and we can know if its GSM network in the area is a problem. I will have one in 3 days. The Huawei 3 Pro and I will run a test loop timer and we see what the results are at my place then we can move the rig to your place and then see what the log files and we can have some information to start the debug if you are keen.

Note I will add the device to a test  account and share it to you and we can see the log files and see if it drops and then we can start debugging from there

Hi @Anarchy05

I just wanted to get a few more details about the logout. I know with some of the new updates and batter saving you have an option to kill the app or to just put it to sleep. I would just select the app as a test set to always run in background and with full permissions ie location permission set to always. Let’s see if it helps.

Sorry got a bit busy lately, I think ai know the issue, the location or background settings has never been an issue, I think my wife is using my login details as she forgot her own, so a different device but same login. That would explain it. Will test and report back.

eWelink cast is the solution to share devices without the eWelink app, it does require the eWelink VIP plan which is around R168 per year.

It’s a great addition to eWelink web based solution.
