October 13, 20223 yr Hi, What is the normal range for the AC and DC temperature of the Deye 5kW inverters. Mine goes relatively high but I am not sure if it is something to be concerned about or not. I cannot find any documentation on this, the manual only talks about the ambient temperature as far as I can see.
October 13, 20223 yr I have the same inverter as you installed in a garage which does get hot in summer. I noted that the fans did come on on the inverter when reaching over 65 degrees C. I did install a USB fan on a local timer swicth and that significantly improved daytime inverter temps during summer. First grpah is before fan installed. Second graph is after fan installed.
October 14, 20223 yr Author Mine does not have a fan and the temperatures goes quite a bit higher. It is installed in a covered area with one side open to the elements.

January 14, 20233 yr Afternoon All, Just an update on my USB external fan to cool the inverter. Over the past year I have had to replace the fan twice. It just does not seem strong enough to run on a USB connection for 12 hours at a time. So I have upgraded to one of these. It is R50 cheaper than the USB fan I bought at Pick-n-Pay and is mains supplied and is much more durable in construction. Yes, it's a bit louder but it does not matter as the inverter is in the garage.
