January 30, 20233 yr Hi All Please can someone assist. I have a 5kW Luxpower inverter with a 5.1kWh Dyness Battery and no solar panels. The system shows that it is grid charging and when I manually take away mains then it immediately starts using the battery as it should. However, I noticed when I actually get load shedding, it takes approximately 7-12 mins for the inverter to kick in and it does not do the changeover immediately like it should. Does anyone have any solution to this or experienced this? Is it a setting on the inverter since there is nothing stored in the battery "memory" wise? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Regards Leeshan
January 30, 20233 yr Hi @Leeshan I would love to assist, but it's a very busy time for us installers. Where about are you if you are in close proximity to me I can try to schedule a time to help where possible. WHere is the installer on this project? This is definitely something he needs to address. Not something you should be struggling with...
January 31, 20233 yr Author Hi @Steve87 Thanks for the taking the time to reply to my comment. It is much appreciated. The client is located in Bryanston. So my dad is actually the installer and I am just assisting because he has never experienced this before. He has done approximately 20+ Luxpower and Dyness battery installations and this is the first time this delay had happened because all the others kick in immediately like it supposed to. So I was just wondering if there is a setting or something on the inverter that we can possibly try and change. Thank you again and looking forward to your reply. If you wish to not give your whatsapp number on this platform, you can please whatsapp me on 0763182861 then we can possibly chat if you have some time. Regards Leeshan

January 31, 20233 yr Use a multi-meter to read the voltages on the grid side of the inverter L-N L-E N-E Voltage when isolating the inverter Voltage when load shedding I suspect there is a small voltage when load shedding that's confusing the inverter.

March 22, 20233 yr I have exactly the same issue. Unfortunately the installer I used, well all I can say is that I have no backup anymore.

In your case, did it happen post a fresh\new installation... or, has your lux power also been working fine for months etc, then its started acting up with the delay cycle? You stated "I found that the ups function was not enabled" ... where exactly can one confirm this? Regards Eddy
