February 21, 20233 yr I am in the market for a DC (DC Current, DC Voltage) clamp meter, home/hobby use Any recommendations?
February 21, 20233 yr At the top of the range I would think you can look at Fluke. Just for Hobby/home use you can buy any familiar brand. Hellerman/Mayor Tech has been around for very long time.

Hi Dieter i bought the Major Tech MTD-75t and i was not happy with the DC accuracy compared to the Fluke 317 at 3 times the price but accuracy for me is key. I suppose the MT is ok if you can live with 2% tolerance on the DC current. Ac current is spot on. Depends on your budget but the fluke is by far superior. https://www.takealot.com/major-tech-true-rms-800a-ac-dc-clamp-meter-mtd75t/PLID91193017?gclid=CjwKCAiA9NGfBhBvEiwAq5vSy9NNo8mgattgKdhGT-VoXDw1vKoZsMFRfuXfKB-nFd2GbT89ZFEYfxoCoEsQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds https://topdogtoolshop.co.za/product/fluke-317-true-rms-ac-dc-clamp-meter/?gclid=CjwKCAiA9NGfBhBvEiwAq5vSy0bD2ydT3_kjBdH9gd6pix7gJQ3N7Bm3Uhdl3VwbMfjXSdzHSH5SBhoCr-8QAvD_BwE Edited February 21, 20233 yr by TaliaB
February 21, 20233 yr I bought one of these on Aliexpress: https://www.bidorbuy.co.za/item/580000429/UNI_T_UT210D_Digital_Clamp_Meter_Temperature_Measurement_Auto_Range_Capacitance_Multimeter_AC_DC_Cur.html DC current is a bit susceptible to stray fields, but otherwise I have not had any complaints.
