March 6, 20233 yr Hi All, I’m looking for guidance on a nice monitoring app I can use for my system. I have an OCI 7.2 inverter with Shoto 5.12 batteries. Any suggestions?

March 7, 20233 yr Author I see a step by step guide for this….😂 do I need cables connected to the PI? do I need the cables from the inverter to the batteries? Has anyone bought the software and how is the setup technically? Easy?
April 6, 20233 yr HI Raiden2912, Did you ever figure it out? If not, let me know, I use solar-assistant and I am very happy with the results. Regards, Heine

Buy the cable for the battery/Pi form solar Assistant to connect to the battery. Downloads the software on your PC or laptop. Flash the SD card.(San Disk Ultra 16GB) Insert the SD card into Pi and switch on power.I started the device on ETH using a ETH/LAN cable from the router. When you have the SA dashboard unplug the ETH .System is ready to install. Install battery and inverter cable.Go to settings,do the SSID and password, select tipe of battery and inverter connection . As soon as you connect with the activation button the SA will display battery and solar info. Check inverter and battery pages for settings and info of your system. April 6, 20233 yr There is a Shoto specific cable available on the Solar-assistant shop. I also found the values coming from inverter to be unreliable with a totally different setup. Purchasing the correct cable to connect battery to Raspberry Pi solves that issue
April 6, 20233 yr Author I’ve got SHOTO batteries https://solar-assistant.io/shop/products/shoto so this is the one that goes from the SA to battery right

RPI4 are out of stock in most places. Some have used the RPI400 instead.
