Parallel axpert type inverters from different brands

Featured Replies

Can one parallel axpert type inverters from different brands? I.e. 5kW Mecer and a 5kW TheSunPays. They look the same, program and functions the same.

Normally not. A given is the same firmware. Not sure if different makes can satisfy this requirement.

@Scorp007is right, you will at least need to have the exact same firmware on both units, but be aware that there are clones that look exactly like the original voltronic machines. I had a 5kW TSP inverter and I'm 99% sure it was a clone. I would stick to the same brand.

The paintwork on the inverter doesn't have a bearing on its operation, so it IS possible to mix genuine brands. But the Mecer is likely to be genuine, and TheSunPays is a notorioius clone. Personally, I'd never attempt that, even if the clone had an illegal copy of the same firmware as the genuine one.

Say a Mecer and an RCT (both legitimate brands) should be fine. They literally come from the same factory, but are customised slightly for each reseller.
