May 9, 20233 yr Afternoon All, I see that the latest beta release of SA now offers the opportunity to backup your database of data: https://solar-assistant.io/help/historic-data/backup just done the process and it seems to work fine. Nice ๐ MdF
May 9, 20233 yr Wonder if that is restricted to certain Inverters/Batteries?ย There is no such option on mine, even though I am on the latest Beta. Mine only shows the option to clear historic data,ย ๐ง
May 9, 20233 yr Author If you click on View Site on solarassistant.io from your Configuration page, you can check if you actually are on the Beta programme when you scroll to the bottom and look for Software Release Channel? MdF Edited May 9, 20233 yr by MdF
May 9, 20233 yr I know, I have been on the Beta program from the start and you will see from my screenshot that I am on the same dated version as what they display on their backup-restore webpage. I have sent them a mail. Maybe it's something that is currently only available on certain Pi models? Shall await their feedback.
May 9, 20233 yr They responded quite quickly. Although their shown Software version was the same as what I had, there was another later Beta version dated yesterday. Downloaded it and that fixed the issue.ย
May 10, 20233 yr Backup is a good feature. SA uses Debian 10 and Debian 12 is about to be released. The ability to backup / restore could be used to upgrade a newer OS. ย
