I have a luxpower system, but I feel like it's setup to basically "ensure no blackouts", and not really save me R's at the end of the month.

I understand that you can set a target battery % while on grid, and then a cut out % to protect the battery.  But I want to set it up that it tries to be at 80%+ when the sun goes down, and then have a linearly reduces target until the sun comes up, lets say to 40%.  Lets assume sundown at 18:00 and sun up at 06:00 then at 00:00 it should aim to be at 60% not at 80%.  Similarly it should use battery in stead of grid until it's below target etc.

Is there a way to set it up this way?

Hi I don't think the inverter has any settings for what you are asking( you have to go with deye/sunsynk). 06h00 to 18h00 are ok expectations in summer but the 'solar window' is much narrower in winter. I would say 08h00 to 16h00 at best. To achieve what you want you would have to calculate how long your batteries will take to charge with the amount of panels you have. And then time any other heavy loads(TV's, fridges and computers are so efficient that they are just part of the base load) to run from solar after the batteries are charged.

 

Basically what I'm saying is load management. Reduce AC start and end times to a few hours in the evening when you will be using microwaves and kettles. Disable AC charge for the battery if you have enough panels to fully charge the batteries everyday. You can always use quick charge if you need it. Great inverter I'm enjoying mine.

Too much typing to explain. Rather look it up in the manual. Here is a portion of the settings. 

1) Set up the times you will like AC to power the house under application setting. Set to 00:00 if you don't want it to come in at all. So in your case you must ensure that the AC is set to be off during the day when you want to use the panels and battery

2) set your "On grid EOD SOC%" under discharge settings to 30%

3) I assume you have the box "take load together " ticked. Remove the tick.
