July 12, 201510 yr My local electrical supplier told me one cannot get mini contactors rated above 9A. Is this true? I need two rated at 20A. I see e-bay has got but worry about quality.
July 22, 201510 yr I Google and phoneed a few people and seems the answer was around 12 A max. Anyone else get better?
July 22, 201510 yr Well, there is an easy out. You can get 220V contactors rated at 10amps. Get the 4 pole one. Now connect all the contacts in paralle and there you have an 40Amp contactor This is fine for resistive loads like elements. For motors I would not go above 30Amps. For lights I would not go above 20Amp this way.
July 22, 201510 yr Author On e-Bay I have found 20A mini contactors. Worried about quality so I bought 2.

August 12, 201510 yr Author HI Eugene 2 pole would be perfect. Who makes them? Then I can get the electrical wholesaler to order them. Chris
August 16, 201510 yr I had a look at these contactors online but couldnt get much technical info. Is the control circuit on these contactors DC or AC? What are the "specs" for the control circuit? C Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
August 16, 201510 yr All the specs are printed on the face, 220/230V AC coil 25A resistive load AC-7b = 5Kw (slightly inductive loads) AC-7a = 1,2Kw (Motor loads) Hager comes in 12, 24, 110/127, 230V AC
August 16, 201510 yr Thanks Eugene, didnt know what that means. So the control circuit is also AC? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
