Is the SunSynk batteries worth paying the extra maybe R5K to R7K more than some of the others to get the extra warranty. How are these batteries performing in the field any issues. I like the BSL batteries and the Greenrich (maybe someone with these can comment) and the Volta for the price. Just as an example the Volta 5kw goes for about around R24K and the SunSynk is going for around R32K. For me that's then the ball-park extra cost I'm willing to carry for peace of mind with the inverter. On the understanding that all else is equal, the warranty will be honoured, and that the batteries are of equal quality, etc. Maybe we need to see a few more teardowns like recently on Nenergy to decide if the low-cost batteries like Volta, etc. are worth the greater saving.

Just be careful of the fine print in the 10 year extended warranty that states the maximum cycle per year is 750cycles is it possible with SA load shedding especially when on stage 6. That depends on how the BMS count is set, I have a LBSA battery that counts 1 cycle every time SOC goes bellow 80%. I very seldom use my battery bellow 20% SOC yet it shows 1 cycle every single day see attached, in the last seven days only once gone to 22% soc yet it counted a cycle every single day.
