October 7, 20232 yr What inverter could this be? Do anyone recognise or know what inverter this is? It is enclosed in a steel housing and only the face is visible?
October 8, 20232 yr It could be an Axpert because of the number and designations for the buttons and LEDs. Or much more likely it's a clone thereof.

October 11, 20232 yr Is there a specifications sticker on it anywhere? If so, please post a photo of that.

The inverter is mounted in a steel box on wheels with a Nenergy 5KW lithium battery, but I managed to look in through a small gap and get a model nr. GF-8048MBW-FS. 8000KVA/6000W min solar V=120VDC best 300-400VDC max 500VDC. This unit unfortunately failed with switch on of pv. 550W panels 8 x in series measured Vmeasured 320-370V It's been sent back to supplier and I am awaiting feedback.

Any recommendations on how to connect 8 x 550W Longi (Voc - 49.8V & Imax - 13.12A) panels to this inverter. The manual show 2 x series and up to 10 x sets in parallel, this does not make sense looking at the nameplate specs like below. Inverter specs on plate :GF-8048MBW-FS Hybrid Solar Inverter 8000KVA/6000W 48VDC - 119A Min solar V = 120VDC, Best 300 - 400VDC Max 500VDC Charger mode 230VAC 50Hz 35A 1Ph

Call it 50V. 8 in series will thus be 400V which is in the range of the Inverter's specs that you quoted So you can do one series string of 8 panels.

You might have a manual for the sister model that has a PWM solar charge controller. Those work best with the PV MPPT voltage not too much higher than the battery voltage, as the panels will get dragged down to battery voltage. Double check your sticker on the side of the inverter whether you have the high PV voltage model.

Some feedback, I did check the sticker it was the high voltage model Fivestar clone that blew smoke and fried the pv card when it was connected 8 x series panels (365VDC). The supplier did replace the unit with another inverter that looks like a legit Axpert but they removed the brand name so thats not known, but at least left the serial nr. and rest of info. Also a high voltage model. I managed to speak to the suppliers technician and he recommended I put 4 x panels in series and 2 parallel string, which I did and seems ok. So I'll be very cautios of those clones in future.🙃
