Solis s6 pro and solar assistant

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Hands up who has a solis s6 pro and is using solar assistant. I'm hoping a few of us..

I have my setup reporting but as of yet there is no ability for the user to adjust the inverter setting or for solar assistant to based on solar assistant setting.

One of the best features of SA to my mind is the time. Of use/soc setting..

Hopefully SA will see the value it working on this and making it available as a feature soon..

@Sam79,

Not a Solis user here, so just a comment on SA.

SA doesn't have a Timer of use/SOC function.

It's a feature started with the Sunsynk/Deye boys, and many manufacturers have followed.

But yes, would be nice if SA would in future be able to read and configure all the inverters that they support.

All things in good time, I hope!

On the beta version you can add time slots and then the charge/discharge is controlled by this function. Ie. at 4pm the battery must be @ 80%  soc if not it will move to grid, at 5pm it must be at 90% soc etc... and you can add as many time slots as you want..

Solis Inverter support was actually added in the last stable update too.
If that release has been loaded then the time/SOC function should be working.
I don't make use of it on my off grid system.

Sam79, how did the Solar Assist tech get you connected?
I have tried various ways of connecting the Solar Assistant, and neither the Network scan nor the USB/RS485 direct connect is picking up the inveter (or communicating).

I recently changed from DEYE to Solis, so now trying to re-integrate this into my Home Automation etc, but have had limited to no luck in getting SA to talk to Solis inverter...

I'm not sure how tech did it. But ivd since stopped using solar assistant as there isn't any automation available on the app and connecting go SA would block the Solis cloud from functioning.
